Lone Star Buys Cable-free Seismic System

Lone Star Geophysical Surveys buys a 4000-node ZLand seismic system from FairfieldNodal for US & Canada projects. The company previously leased ZLand system nodes for environmentally sensitive work in Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado and Montana, and made their purchase decision based on the results they achieved there. “We have put these nodes to the test in some very challenging environments and been very impressed, both in terms of system performance and the HSE advantages they provide,” said Lone Star Geophysical Survey’s CEO and President Heath Harris. Keith Matthews, FairfieldNodal’s systems sales director, is pleased with the endorsement.

FairfielNodal Inks Deal for 6,000 ZLand Nodes

Spurred by Seismic Equipment Solutions (SES) Client demand, SES becomes preferred provider of the true cable-free system. FairfieldNodal today announced that global seismic equipment rental company Seismic Equipment Solutions (SES) acquired 6,000 channels of its ZLand nodal system. ZLand, the only true cable-free nodal system, is unique in the industry, making it faster and safer to deploy than conventional cabled systems, even in treacherous or environmentally sensitive areas. The commitment to FairfieldNodal makes SES the preferred global leasing provider for ZLand systems. According to SES, the acquisition was in response to contractor requests, which are, in many cases, prompted by the contractor’s own clients.

FairfieldNodal to Perform Survey for Marathon Oil

FairfieldNodal has signed a contract with Marathon Oil Corporation for an ocean-bottom node seismic acquisition survey. The survey is scheduled to begin in July and will run through the end of August. Marathon Oil will use the company’s Z3000 system at water depths of 200 to 600 meters in the Gulf of Mexico’s Ewing Bank area. The data acquired will help improve the quality and resolution of Marathon's existing dataset over the area. FairfieldNodal's cable-free ZNodal systems, available worldwide, are designed to acquire data in virtually any terrain or marine depth. Because they are completely self-contained, these small-footprint systems provide continuous data capture.
