USCG Foundation Awards Record 86 Scholarships

The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education and welfare of all Coast Guard members and their families, announced today that in 2015 it has awarded a record 86 scholarships with a value totaling just over $400,000. In just over 20 years, the Foundation's scholarship program has paid out more than $3 million to help families of Coast Guard members achieve their goals of higher education. The Coast Guard Foundation scholarships are intended to benefit the children of enlisted men and women who are serving or have served in the U.S. Coast Guard, whether active duty, reserve, retired or deceased. Coast Guard Foundation Supports Families in the Wake of CG6535 Crash

The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education, welfare and morale of all Coast Guard members and their families, announced that it will draw upon its Family Disaster Relief Fund and the Fallen Heroes Scholarship Program Fund to aid the families of the crew members of Coast Guard helicopter 6535, which crashed off the coast of Mobile, Alabama on Tuesday, February 28. Ross E. Roeder Shipmate Fund Improves Morale and Welfare for Active Duty Coast Guard Members. Roeder Shipmate Fund. CG Foundation Fundraiser for Families of Helicopter Tragedy

The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education, welfare and morale of all Coast Guard members and their families, announced a fundraising drive for its emergency Family Disaster Relief Fund in response to the Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter crash off the coast of La Push, Washington this past Wednesday, July 7th, that claimed the lives of three servicemen. The crewmembers of CG-6017 were based at Air Station Sitka, Alaska. The Coast Guard Foundation is seeking financial support for the Family Disaster Relief Fund. This fund provides immediate assistance to the families of the fallen crewmembers as they deal with this tragedy, and will provide comfort for other Coast Guard families who find themselves in similar devastating circumstances.

CG Foundation Fund Following C130 Tragedy

The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education, welfare and morale of all U.S. Coast Guard members and their families, announced that it has re-activated its emergency Family Disaster Relief Fund in response to the Oct. 29 C-130 crash off the California coast. The Coast Guard Foundation is asking for financial support to assist the families of the lost crew of CG-1705. The Family Disaster Relief Fund was established in September 2008 in the wake of the helicopter crash in Hawaii that resulted in the loss of 4 Coast Guard members. The Coast Guard has identified the missing personnel as Lt. Cmdr. Che J. Barnes of Capay, California, aircraft commander, age 35; Petty Officer 2nd Class Monica L. Beacham of Decaturville, Tennessee, radio operator, age 29; Lt.
