DNV GL Scores Work at BHP's Trion FPU

Australian oil and gas company BHP, working to develop the Trion field offshore Mexico, has hired DNV GL to verify that the new infrastructure built for the Trion project is compliant with local and global safety, as well as other requirements. BHP acquired the Trion asset in Mexico’s first-ever Deepwater Bid Round in 2016. The Trion field encompasses an area of 1,285 square kilometers and is located in the deep waters of the Perdido belt. US Oil and Gas Industry Confidence Surges

Senior oil and gas professionals in the United States are among the world’s most confident about the outlook for the sector in 2019, as companies prepare for significant increases in capital expenditure (capex) over the coming months.According to a new research published by DNV GL, 85% of sector leaders in the US are optimistic about the industry’s growth prospects in the year ahead, up sharply from 60% in 2018. DNV Appoints New U.K. Head

DNV appointed Frank Ketelaars as its Head of U.K. Advisory Services to oversee a further growth in the oil and gas sector, drawing on a diverse and experienced pool of consultants. Mr. Ketelaars will have overall responsibility for DNV’s advisory units in London, Manchester and Aberdeen, and will also be responsible for enhanced collaboration with European colleagues based in Paris, Milan, Rotterdam and Bilthoven. Mr. Ketelaars started his professional career in Shell International in 1989. Subsequently he worked for 10 years for Jardine and Associates, specializing in asset performance and availability analysis, covering upstream, midstream and downstream assets.
