Protestors Block Unloading of Russian LNG at Swedish Port

Poland Ends Major Russian LNG Contract

Gazprom Integrates All Companies in Tax Regime

Gazprom Extends Gas Contract with Austria’s OMV

Russian gas firm Gazprom has signed a new deal to extend the existing gas supply contract with Austria’s OMV until 2040. Under the existing contract between Gazprom Export and OMV Gas Marketing & Trading, Gazprom agreed to supply gas to OMV until 2028. Gazprom in First LNG Bunkering at Rostock

Gazprom Germania GmbH, a subsidiary of Gazprom Export, has carried out its first bunkering of a ship with liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the port of Rostock, Germany. In the early hours of the morning of February 27, 2016, a ship was fueled with LNG for the first time in the southern Baltic Sea. The bunkering took place at Germany’s largest Baltic Sea port. The ship bunkered was the M.V. Greenland, a cement carrier owned by the Norwegian shipping company KGJ Cement AS. The LNG was transported to Rostock by road tanker. “We are very pleased to witness this new development at our port,” added Jens Aurel Scharner, managing director of Rostock Port.

St. Petersburg Becoming Int'l Gas Sales Hub

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, inaugurated today a new office building of Gazprom Export in St. Petersburg. Taking part in the ceremony were Mikhail Mokretsov, Vice-Governor of the city of St. Petersburg, Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Elena Burmistrova, CEO of Gazprom Export, and city authorities. The new HQ is located in the city center, the Ostrovskogo Square, and occupies the reconstructed premises built in 2006. Gazprom informs that due to a considerable increase in the day-to-day business and its geographical expansion, as well as product diversification within the Company’s international activities, Elena Burmistrova has been appointed Director-General of the Russian energy major's Gazprom Export subsidiary.
