Russian gas giant Gazprom has signed a 12-year deal to supply Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) with liquefied natural gas, a subsidiary of Gazprom Marketing & Trading Group said on Monday.   Gazprom Global LNG Limited (GGLNG) said LNG supplies were due to start in 2019.   The agreement is the first stage in a planned series of partnerships between GGLNG and GNPC, with both companies working to develop the infrastructure and services required to manage and market the projected gas flows from the region, Gazprom said.   It did not disclose further details. Dynagas LNG Partners LP has entered into a new long term time charter agreement with Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore Pte Ltd. for the employment of the 2007 built 150,000 cubic meter steam turbine LNG carrier Clean Energy. The Clean Energy is the Partnership's only non-ice classed LNG Carrier. The charter is expected to commence in July 2018 and will have a firm duration of about 7 years and 9 months. Monaco – March 31, 2016 –Dynagas LNG Partners LP. * Gazprom Global LNG Limited has extended its current charter for the 2007-built LNG carrier Ob River, on the same terms, until May 1, 2018 (plus or minus 15 days). In addition, the Partnership has entered into a new long-term time charter agreement with Gazprom Marketing and Trading Pte. Ltd., an affiliate of Gazprom, for the Ob River, which is expected to commence immediately following the vessel’s redelivery from its current charter with Gazprom, for a period of 10 years (plus or minus 15 days). *  The Partnership has entered into a new long-term time charter agreement for its 2013-built LNG carrier Lena River for the Yamal LNG Project.

Dynagas LNG Partners LP has entered into an agreement with Dynagas Holding Ltd to purchase 100% of the ownership interests in the entity that owns and operates the Lena River, a 2013 built 155,000 cubic meter ice class liquefied natural gas carrier, and the related time charter contract with Gazprom Global LNG Limited, for an aggregate purchase price of $240.0 million. The closing of the Lena River acquisition is expected to take place on or before December 31, 2015 and is subject to customary closing conditions. The Lena River is currently operating under the Gazprom Charter, which has an initial term of five years and expires in October 2018.

Gazprom held the 10th annual Investor Day for the first time in the Asia-Pacific Region – in Hong Kong (February 3) and Singapore (February 5). Taking part in the events were Andrey Kruglov and Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairmen of the Gazprom Management Committee; Dmitry Lyugai and Vsevolod Cherepanov, Members of the Gazprom Management Committee as well as heads of the Company’s specialized structural units and subsidiaries. The events were met with great interest by the investment community. In Hong Kong the Investor Day was attended by over 110 portfolio managers and analysts from major international investment funds and credit institutions. In Singapore it attracted more than 120 visitors.

The Gazprom Board of Directors took note of the information on the Company's financial strategy under the conditions of negative trends in the global financial market for the Russian business entities. It was pointed out that the geopolitical events involving Ukraine as well as American & EU sanctions imposed on Russia affected many Russian companies. In this context Gazprom thinks it is necessary to adhere to the current financial strategy, which provides for the Company's good standing and enables it to swiftly react to the possible aggravation of the situation. Gazprom's financial strategy envisages several basic lines of the Company's business.

Dynagas LNG Partners LP, an owner and operator of LNG carriers, has announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase from Dynagas Holding Ltd., the partnership's sponsor, 100% of the ownership interests in the entity that owns and operates the Yenisei River, a 2013 built ice class liquefied natural gas carrier, and the related time charter contract, for an aggregate purchase price of $257.5 million. Gazprom and Sovcomflot named the new state-of-the-art 170,000m³ liquefied natural gas carrier (LNGC) Pskov, after one of the oldest Russian cities. The ship will be chartered to Gazprom Global LNG (GGLNG) under a long-term contract. The LNGC Pskov is the second vessel in a series of high-specification, ice class Atlanticmax LNG carriers that have been specially designed in accordance with Gazprom’s requirements, and will support Gazprom’s global commercial operations in the gas markets. The first LNGC, Velikiy Novgorod, was delivered and entered service in January of this year. The naming ceremony took place at the STX shipyard, South Korea.

The Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning of Turkey approved the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report and issued a positive opinion of the EIA results for South Stream's offshore section in Turkey. The Report contains the assessment of potential environmental impacts caused by the gas pipeline construction, including the impact on the seabed geology, water quality and marine ecology. The document concludes that the project will have no considerable effect on the Black Sea environment or the regional fishing industry. In addition, the Report proposes a number of measures aimed at eliminating or mitigating any environmental impacts of the project. For example, the gas pipeline bypasses certain locations of shipwrecks.

Today in Belgrad (Serbia) South Stream d.o.o. entered into a contract with Centrgaz, which won the bidding for the South Stream gas pipeline construction in the Republic of Serbia. Centrgaz, part of Gazprom Group, will focus on design, procurement, construction and installation activities, personnel training and commissioning of South Stream in Serbia. The contract stipulates involving Serbian subcontractors in carrying out certain operations. Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said on Wednesday that Ankara would consider the passage of the South Stream natural gas pipeline through Turkey if Russia made such a request. The future of the 2400 km (1,490 mile) line from Russia via the Black Sea to Europe, avoiding Ukraine, has been cast into doubt after Russia's annexation of Crimea. Background South Stream is Gazprom's global infrastructure project aimed at constructing a gas pipeline with a capacity of 63 billion cubic meters across the Black Sea to Southern and Central Europe for the purpose of diversifying the natural gas export routes and eliminating transit risks. Contracts worth around EUR 2-billion for construction of the first of the four offshore lines of the trans-Baltic South Stream gas pipeline have now been signed by South Stream Transport and Saipem, inform Gazprom. Saipem is to build the first offshore line of the South Stream gas pipeline as well as erect process facilities in the shore crossing areas, and construct the landfalls. Pipes will be welded together on board a special pipe-laying vessel and then laid in position on the seabed at a depth of up to 2,200 meters.

Sovcomflot’s new state-of-the-art LNG carrier 'Velikiy Novgorod' launched from STX Offshore & Shipbuilding shipyard. The Velikiy Novgorod was ordered by OAO Sovcomflot for operations under a long-term agreement with Gazprom Global LNG (part of Gazprom) as the first of two vessels ordered by SCF from STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co. Ltd and her construction is scheduled to be completed in December, 2013. At the end of June, 2012, a steel cutting ceremony was held for the second gas carrier in the same series, Pskov, which is due to be delivered in 2014.

The vessels have been ordered at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding (South Korea) and will be built with the participation of Russia's JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation (JSC “USC”). The first tanker is due to be commissioned in late 2014 and the second vessel in early 2015. The involvement in the project of Russian shipbuilders  at Novye Admiralteyskie verfi, Kotlin island  will provide for the future specialised gas carrier needs of Russian oil & gas companies, for work on the continental shelf, in order to develop Arctic and Subarctic offshore fields.

According to 'LNG World News' the ships will be built on a joint class of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) and Lloyd’s Register (LR) by order of Sovcomflot for Gazprom Global LNG, acting as charterer. RS will act as the leading classification society. The ships are membrane-type LNG carriers with a capacity of 170,000 cubic meters of liquefied gas and will be equipped with a three-fuel diesel-electric propulsion plant, allowing to use LNG as fuel. The use of gas as fuel will significantly reduce emissions of NOx and SOx, which is a necessary requirement for modern ships within the tightening of international air emissions standards.
