PGS Wins Wide Azimuth 3D Survey Contract Offshore Cyprus

Norwegian marine seismic survey company PGS has won a Wide Azimuth 3D acquisition contract offshore Cyprus. PGS, which owns a fleet of seismic survey vessels, said that mobilization was scheduled to start in mid-June. The acquisition is expected to complete in mid-August.President & CEO of PGS, Rune Olav Pedersen said: "We are very pleased with this contract award, which is an importantcontribution to our vessel utilization during the summer season. The Eastern Mediterranean is a prolific gas region and a well-known area to PGS.

PGS Wins 4D Seismic Survey Gig in North Sea

Norwegian marine seismic data acquisition firm PGS has won a 4D survey contract in the North Sea.The company said Wednesday that a Ramform Titan-class vessel was scheduled to start the acquisition in early August of 2022 and complete it in mid-September.President & CEO in PGS, Rune Olav Pedersen said: "We are very pleased to be awarded this 4D contract in the North Sea. It is encouraging to see our clients securing capacity well in advance, like in this case, and we believe in a continued improvement of the contract market next year."PGS did not share the identity of the client.

TGS, PGS, WesternGeco in 6,400 sq km Seismic Survey Offshore Malaysia

Offshore seismic data and services trio TGS, PGS, and Schlumberger's WesternGeco, have secured pre-funding for a 6,400 square kilometer multi-client 3D survey starting in October in the Sarawak Basin, offshore Malaysia.The survey is the first phase of a multi-year contract awarded by the Malaysian national oil firm Petronas in 2020 through competitive bidding to acquire and process up to 105,000 square kilometers of multi-client 3D data over a 5-year period in the Basin. Equinor Awards Long-term Frame Deals to Seismic Players PGS and Shearwater

Offshore seismic survey contractors PGS and Shearwater GeoServices have been awarded framework agreements with Equinor for 4D towed streamer seismic acquisition on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) in what Equinor said was a new way of working with seismic contractors.The agreements have a total estimated value of around NOK 700 million (~USD 82,7 million).“This is a new way of working with seismic suppliers. PGS Releases 3D GeoStreamer Survey Data

PGS, TGS in Canada 3D Shoot

TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (TGS) and Norwegian marine seismic specialist Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) announced the Torngat 3D multi-client project in Offshore East Canada.Torngat 3D will cover approximately 3,287 km2 and encompasses sections of the open acreage included in the Labrador South November 2021 bid round, said a press release from TGS, provider of multi-client geoscience data to oil and gas Exploration and Production companies worldwide.PGS’ Ramform Titan will perform the acquisition, utilizing Geostreamer technology. TGS, PGS Team Up on Eastern Canada Seismic

TGS announces the expansion of its multi-client library offshore Eastern Canada with plans to acquire more than 36,000 km of 2D seismic data, in partnership with PGS, utilizing two vessels during the 2016 acquisition season. The M/V Sanco Spirit and M/V Atlantic Explorer, utilizing the PGS GeoStreamer technology, will acquire seismic and gravity data in the Labrador Sea, Newfoundland Orphan-Flemish Pass basins and Grand Banks areas. Data acquisition will commence during late May 2016. Pre-processing of the initial GeoStreamer signal will be performed by PGS following which TGS will perform data processing with final data available to clients in Q3 2017.

PGS ASA - First Mover Offshore Mexico

Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (PGS) commenced operations of a MultiClient 2D seismic program offshore Mexico on May 16th. The two 2D vessels Atlantic Explorer and Sanco Spirit will acquire multiple projects recently approved by the Mexican government. The first program to be acquired is the Mexico Well Tie MC2D which will provide clients with an excellent grounding for understanding the hydrocarbon prospectivity in the area. Fast track products will be available in June 2015. "PGS is proud to conduct its first commercial seismic acquisition project in Mexico after approval of the Mexican Energy Reform," says Gregg Parker, Regional President NSA MultiClient in PGS.
