Diana Shipping TC for m/v Atalandi with Uniper

Diana Shipping announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Uniper Global Commodities SE, Düsseldorf, for one of its Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Atalandi. The global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels said that the gross charter rate is US$13,500 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 14 months to maximum 17 months. The charter commenced earlier today. The m/v Atalandi was chartered, as previously announced, to Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, at a gross charter rate of US$5,300 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The “Atalandi” is a 77,529 dwt Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2014.

Diana Shipping TC Contract for m/v Ismene with DHL

Diana Shipping Inc. has announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with DHL Project & Chartering Limited, Hong Kong, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Ismene. The gross charter rate is US$12,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 12 months to maximum 15 months. The charter is expected to commence on September 16, 2017. The m/v Ismene is currently chartered, as previously announced, to Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, at a gross charter rate of US$5,850 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The “Ismene” is a 77,901 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2013.

Diana Enters Time Charter Contract With Glencore

Greek dry bulk ship owner Diana Shipping announced it entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels. The vessel in question is the 77,901 dwt MV Ismene, which was hired at a gross charter rate of $ 5,850 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The charter commenced on August 7. The 2013-built  Panamax dry bulk vessel was chartered for a period of about ten to thirteen months. The employment is anticipated to generate approximately $1.67mln of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter. Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 46 dry bulk vessels (2 Newcastlemax, 14 Capesize, 3 Post-Panamax, 4 Kamsarmax and 23 Panamax).

Diana Fixes Bulker Duo with Glencore

Diana Shipping Inc  has inked new time charters with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam for two of its panamaxes at rates below the previous charters, with the contracts commencing on March 26. Diana entered into a time charter contract with Glencore for 74,444 dwt panamax dry bulk vessel Erato for a period of 11-14 months at a gross charter rate of $4,650 per day minus a 5% commission payable to third parties. The charter for the 2004-built vessel commenced on March 26. The company also entered into a time charter contract with Glencore for 2014-built 77,529 dwt panamax Atalandi for a period of 20-25 months at a gross charter rate of $5,300 per day, minus a 5% commission. The charter commenced on March 26, 2016.

Diana Shipping Extends Charter for Crystalia With Glencore

Diana Shipping Inc., has, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, agreed to extend the present time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessels, the MV Crystalia. The charter has been extended for a period of minimum ten months to maximum thirteen months at a rate 43% lower than the original fixture. The Crystalia (77,525 dwt, built 2014) was fixed at a gross rate of $9,000 daily, minus 5% commission, for the extension period, which is scheduled to commence on August 27. “This employment extension is anticipated to generate approximately $2.7m of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the timecharter,” Owner and operator of dry bulk vessels  Diana said.

Diana Shipping Extends Time Charter

Diana Shipping Inc. has, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, agreed to extend the present time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the 73,593 dwt m/v Arethusa built in 2007. The gross charter rate is $7,100 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 11 months to maximum 14 months. The new charter period is expected to commence on March 5, 2015. This employment extension is anticipated to generate approximately $2.34 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Diana Shipping Announced Vessel Delivery, Time Charters

Diana Shipping Inc. Diana Shipping Inc. announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has taken delivery of the m/v Santa Barbara (formerly Hull No. BC18.0-51), a 179,426 dwt newly built Capesize dry bulk vessel that the company entered into an agreement to purchase in December 2014. The company also announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Vroon Dry Cargo Chartering B.V., Breskens, for one of its Post-Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Polymnia. The gross charter rate is $7,500 per day, plus $237,500 ballast bonus, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum nine months to maximum 13 months. The charter is expected to commence January 17, 2015.

Diana Shipping Announces Glencore Contract

Diana Shipping Inc., through a  separate wholly-owned subsidiary, has entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Myrto. The gross charter rate is $9,850  per day minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of  minimum 11 months to maximum 14 months. The  charter is expected to commence on January 7, 2015. The Myrto is a 82,131 dwt Kamsarmax dry bulk vessel built in 2013. This employment is anticipated to generate approximately $3.25  million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time  charter.

Diana Shipping Announces $53.5m Drawdown

Diana Shipping Inc. Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, completed a drawdown of $53.5 million on December 19, 2014, through two separate wholly-owned subsidiaries, under a term loan facility it signed with BNP Paribas. The proceeds will be used to partially finance the acquisition costs of two Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v P. S. Palios and the m/v G. P. Zafirakis, which were delivered to the company on December 2, 2013 and August 20, 2014, respectively. Additionally, the company announced that through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Nirefs, a 75,311 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2001.

Diana Shipping Adds Another Dry Bulk Vessel

Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it took delivery of the newly built m/v Crystalia, an Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessel of 77,525 dwt that was contracted in March 2012. The m/v Crystalia is time chartered to Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, at a gross charter rate of $15,800 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 18 months to maximum 21 months. The charter is expected to commence tomorrow.

Diana Shipping Inc. Announces Signing and Drawdown of a US$18 Million Term Loan Facility With Commonwealth Bank of Australia; Announces Time Charter Contract for m/v Crystalia With Glencore. Diana Shipping has announced that it has completed a drawdown of US$18 million, through two separate wholly-owned subsidiaries, under a term loan facility it has signed for up to US$18 million with Commonwealth Bank of Australia. The proceeds will be used to partially finance the acquisition costs of two Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v "Melite" and the m/v "Artemis", which were delivered to the Company on January 28, 2010 and August 26, 2013, respectively.

Diana Shipping Announces Time Charter Contract

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE:DSX), a global shipping company specializing in the ownership  and operation of dry bulk vessels, entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam,  through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, for one of its Kamsarmax  dry bulk carriers, the m/v Maia.   The gross charter rate is US$10,900  per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of  about eighteen (18) months to maximum twenty-four (24) months. The  charter is expected to commence at the end of February 2013.  The Maia is a 82,193 dwt Kamsarmax dry bulk vessel built in 2009.    This employment is anticipated to generate approximately $5.7  million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the charter.
