Eagle Bulk Shipping Takes Delivery of Supramax Drybulk Vessel

Eagle Bulk Shipping, Inc., a global marine transportation company specializing in the Supramax segment of the dry bulk shipping industry,announced that it has taken delivery of the Shrike, a 2003 built 53,343 dwt Supramax dry bulk vessel. The Shrike was acquired as part of a three vessel transaction announced on February 28, 2007. The Shrike will immediately commence a 24-27 month charter at a rate of $24,600/day. The charterer has an option to extend the charter period by 12-14 months at a rate of $25,600/day.

Omega Navigation Enterprises Declares Cash Dividend

Omega Navigation Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ:ONAV, SGX:ONAV50), a provider of global marine transportation services focusing on product tankers announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend with respect to the third quarter of 2007 of $0.50 per common share, payable November 30, 2007 to stockholders of record on November 15, 2007. The company recently announced the signing of shipbuilding contracts to construct and acquire five newbuilding double hull Handymax product tankers each with a capacity of 37,000 dwt scheduled for delivery between March 2010 and early in 2011. With the addition of these five vessels, the Omega fleet will expand to 13 product tankers with a total deadweight capacity of 697,358 tons.

Eagle Bulk Shipping Secures Long-Term Charters

Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc., a global marine transportation company specializing in the Supramax segment of the dry bulk shipping industry, today announced that it has secured long-term time charter contracts for three of its vessels. Upon completion of its current charter of $18,550 per day, the Jaeger, a 52,000 dwt Supramax will commence a new time charter with a rate of $27,500 per day for 12-14 months. The charter rate may reset at the beginning of each month based on the average time charter rate for the Baltic Supramax Index, but in no case less than $22,500 per day. The charter on the Harrier, a 50,000 dwt Supramax has been extended from its current charter rate of $23,750 per day for 24 to 27 months at a rate of $24,000 per day.

Signet Maritime Corp. and Garrett Marine, Inc. executed agreements August 29, 2003, for charter and purchase of Garrett's Aransas tug business, finalizing plans that originated in 2002 to expand Signet's presence in the Aransas Pass/Ingleside region. The Garrett family, which has been serving marine tug needs in Texas for almost 50 years, agreed to terms for handing over responsibility for tug operations to Signet for marine and construction firms in the Aransas Pass/Ingleside region. Signet Closes $209m Financing Facility

Wells Fargo Equipment Finance, through its Energy and Marine and Capital Markets Groups, acting in the capacity of lead arranger, closed a $209 million financing facility today for Signet Maritime Corporation, a global marine transportation company based in Houston. The new facility refinances Signet’s existing bank debt and provides acquisition financing for the purchase of Harvey Gulf International Marine’s ocean towing vessel (OTV) fleet, which includes eight OTVs. Signet will also use proceeds of the financing facility to complete the construction and purchase of three newbuild escort ASD reverse tractor tugs, and the purchase of three existing bareboat chartered vessels.

Jensen Maritime Designs Two New Barges

Jensen Maritime Consultants, Inc., a Crowley company, has designed two new barges for Global Marine Transportation, Inc. Both 10,000-barrel tank barges are scheduled to be constructed and delivered in 2010. Designed for lightering services, the barges are being built by Trinity Marine Products, Inc., and will be chartered to Maxum Petroleum, Inc. The tank barges are designed with corrugated cargo tank bulkheads to ease tank stripping and cleaning. All cargo tanks are completely smooth-sided except for the deck stiffeners above.

Omega Navigation Announces Delivery Tankers

Omega Navigation Enterprises, Inc., a provider of global marine transportation services announced that it has taken delivery of two product tankers, the Iasonas, to be renamed the Omega Lady Sarah, and the Adonis, to be renamed the Omega Princess. Omega Navigation has taken delivery of five double hull product tankers and has agreements to acquire one additional double hull product tanker with expected delivery by the end of July 2006. The Omega Lady Sarah is a Panamax (LR1) double hull product tanker of 71,500 deadweight tons (dwt), built by STX, South Korea in 2004. This is the third Panamax product tanker delivered to Omega and follows the delivery of the Omega Queen and Omega King"announced on May 31, 2006 and June 16, 2006, respectively.
