Seanergy Names Komninos CFO

GOC Announces Charter Agreement

Global Oceanic Carriers Limited announced that it has entered into a time charter agreement with Oldendorff Carriers GMBH & CO KG for the M/V Go Pride for a minimum period of 35 days at the gross rate of $44,000 or $45,000 per day and a ballast bonus of $375,000 or $400,000 depending on port of discharge. The charter is expected to commence on or about 26 June 2008.  The M/V Go Pride is a handysize bulk carrier built in 1982 with a carrying capacity of 35,055 dwt.

Global Oceanic Carriers Shares Rise

Global Oceanic Carriers Ltd shares were up after the company said investors Solstice International Investments Inc and Tildough Holding Inc have sold their entire stakes in the company to Kaylee Maritime at a price of 1.65 stg per share. Kaylee now holds 79.3 pct or 31.76 mln shares. Solstice and Tildough are associated with Global Oceanic chief executive Michael Tartsinis and executive director Antonis Nikolaou. Global Oceanic Carriers Acquires Bulk Carrier

Global Oceanic Carriers Limited, a global provider of marine transportation services for dry bulk cargoes, announces today that the company has entered into an agreement to purchase a Handymax vessel charter-free for $37m. The vessel, acquired from ABG Shipping Limited will be renamed to M/V “GO Friendship” and is scheduled for delivery in August 2007. The M/V GO Friendship was built in Korea in 1994 and has a carrying capacity of 44,875 dwt. The company intends to finance this acquisition with banking facilities. Upon delivery, the M/V GO Friendship will operate under a fixed-rate period time charter for 3 years with Samsun Global Corp. $26,850 per day.

Global Oceanic Carriers Acquires Two Ships

Global Oceanic Carriers Ltd, the AIM-listed Greek dry bulk shipping company, said it is acquiring two more ships and is proposing to enter into new ship management agreements for its entire fleet.The company, which did not disclose the value of the deal nor disclose the terms of the management proposal, added it has appointed Jefferies International as its sole nominated adviser and broker with immediate effect.
