Caledonian Geotech has received a hat-trick of prestigious industry accreditations. Following a detailed audit conducted by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the company was awarded accreditation according to the ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 operating standards. The ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards testify to the company’s strong quality and environmental management performance, while OHSAS 18001 is the internationally-recognized assessment awarded to companies who take stringent steps to protect their workforce and actively promote health and safety in the workplace. Caledonian Geotech was acquired by Specialist Subsea Services (S3), a provider of ROV and survey services to the international energy industry, as part of the company’s strategic growth plans in 2011.

Specialist Subsea Services (S3) celebrated success at the Subsea UK awards after being named winners of the much coveted New Enterprise award. S3 was recognised for its vision in business development and its contribution to the subsea sector, both in the UK and internationally. Graeme Kidd, managing director at S3, said: “Winning the award for New Enterprise is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud to have been recognised by such a prestigious organisation as Subsea UK.

Oceanteam Power & Umbilical ASA announced has signed a Heads of Agreement to acquire 60 percent of a new Subsea Services company against investment within the company. The company will be renamed to Oceanteam Subsea Services Ltd. The company has been recently founded by a team of subsea services experts headed by Graeme Kidd with an excellent track record within the Offshore Service Industry. Graeme Kidd has been working in the subsea industry for over 25 years and still retains an enthusiasm for the industry and its entrepreneurial approach to the delivery of problem solutions. The new company brings together a team of highly experienced and knowledgeable individuals who are of the view that they have novel innovation to offer the market place.
