Griffin Hires New GM in Norway

Griffin Global Group, a marine and offshore travel specialist, announced the appointment of Wenche Eeg as General Manager based in Bergen. Wenche has more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry most recently with Cruise Norway AS where she held the position for seven years. Prior to which Wenche held a number of senior management positions in both sales and operations with American Express. Wenche is well respected in the travel and tourism industry. Energy Specialist to Head Up G2 Crew Services

G2 Crew Services, the recently formed JV between Griffin and GAC, has announced  the appointment of Gary Pearce as CEO with effect from August 5. Previously Senior Vice President Global Energy Services for Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), Gary Pearce led the team responsible for CWT’s strong growth and high levels of customer satisfaction within the Offshore and Energy sector. “Whether their origins are in crew or corporate travel, the offshore industry is served by companies limited to providing point-to-point air travel” said Gary Pearce.

Plans Well Advanced for IMCA Annual Seminar

‘Addressing the Challenges of New Frontiers’ is the topical theme for the International Marine Contractors Association’s (IMCA) Annual Seminar being held in Singapore November 6-7, 2013. Griffin Americas Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Griffin Americas, a division of Griffin Global Group, a  marine and offshore travel specialist, has announced  the appointment of Judy “J.P.” Peplinski as Chief Executive Officer. J.P. will assume this position for all of North and South America operations for Griffin Global Group. This new appointment will take effect on February 4th, 2013. The role has been created following Bob Westendarp's decision to step back from his full time role as President and Chief Executive Officer after 22 years with the Company.

Griffin Makes New Appointment

The Griffin Global Group Ltd., with the goal of increasing product portfolio, announced the expansion of its corporate business with the appointment of John Prentice as director of Corporate Services. Griffin’s Corporate department will be targeting the offshore and shipping sectors, but do have expansion plans further down the line. Prentice started in the travel business with Air New Zealand. He then came to the United Kingdom and spent 10 years with British Airways, where he served as account manager, Specialist Markets. In 2002, Prentice joined Interargo as director of Sales and joined Griffin in January 2005 following the latter’s acquisition of Argo’s marine and corporate business.
