OW Bunker Acquires Wilhelmsen Marine Fuels

OW Bunker, a physical distributor and reseller of marine fuels, today announced that it has acquired marine fuel broker Wilhelmsen Marine Fuels, a subsidiary of Norwegian Wilhelmsen Maritime Services, for an undisclosed sum. Wilhelmsen Marine Fuels’ main activity is broking services from offices in Oslo, London and Singapore, servicing customers on a global basis, but with a key presence in Singapore and the ARA-region (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp). OW Bunker Launches Columbian Operations

Fuel distributor continues global expansion with launch of fifth office in Latin America. OW Bunker, a reseller and physical distributor of marine fuel, announced the launch of a new operation in Cartagena, Colombia. The move into the Colombian bunker market builds upon OW Bunker’s presence across the region with existing offices in Chile, Uruguay, Panama and Brazil. OW Bunker’s Colombia office is located in Cartagena – the country’s most active port - on the region’s northeast coast along the Caribbean Sea.

OW Bunker Acquire Bergen Bunkers

OW Bunker to acquire the entire share capital of marine fuels & lubricants supplier Bergen Bunkers AS. Bergen Bunkers has offices in Bergen and St Petersburg, and provides fuel and lubricants to some of Norway's leading ship owners and operators, as well as global customers. Bergen Bunkers employs 12 staff, and will retain its existing brand name, operating as an integrated and wholly owned subsidiary of OW Bunker. OW Bunker Strengthens Presence in Taiwan

OW Bunker, a supplier and trader of marine fuel, announced on July 3, 2012 that it has opened a new representative office in Taiwan. OW Bunker's new office in Taipei will be managed by Mr. Victor Huang, who has over 16 years of experience across the shipping industry. He joins the group from his previous position with NYK Taiwan. Mr Huang, who holds degrees in both Maritime Transportation and Maritime Law, has been appointed as Liaison Officer and will work in coordination with OW Bunker's existing team based at the Group's regional sales centre in Singapore.

Beijing Office Opened by OW Bunker

OW Bunker, a leading suppliers and traders of marine fuel, has announced the opening of a second office in China. The move supports its growing customer base in the region, and is designed to capitalise on opportunities presented by the strong growth in the Asian markets. In his new role, Jervild is based in Dubai and is responsible for all of OW Bunker’s activities in this region. Jesper Jervild has been promoted from the position of Branch Manager of OW Bunker South Africa (Pty) Ltd, based in Cape Town, where he has spent the past four years.
