NAVTOR has signed an agreement with maritime weather routing specialist Applied Weather Technology (AWT) that will see the two companies integrating their services to offer route planning and decision making tools. As a result of the deal, AWT’s routing and optimization systems will be offered on NAVTOR’s recently launched NavStation software. (AWT), a StormGeo company, today announced a partnership with KVH Industries, Inc. to deliver AWT’s BVS high-resolution weather data via the KVH IP-MobileCast WEATHERlink service. AWT’s BVS 7 weather forecasts and ocean data will be delivered to vessels at sea via KVH IP-MobileCast, a service utilizing multicasting technology for a low fixed monthly fee. Fugro Satellite has announced the appointment of Genoa based CAIM as national sales agent for the Marinestar range of navigation products and services for deep sea commercial shipping.
