SWITCH Maritime Raises $10 Million to Grow Its Green Ferry Fleet

Corvus to Equip First Hydrogen/electric Hybrid Fishing and Training Vessel

Corvus Energy, a company providing zero-emission solutions for the maritime industry, said Monday it had won a contract with Hvide Sande Shipyard in Denmark to supply a complete hydrogen fuel cell system for the training vessel “MS Skulebas.” "This marks a historic milestone for Corvus Energy," Corvus Energy said."The 35-meter fishing and training vessel has the latest technology and commercial fishing systems installed and sets an example of innovation and cooperation within the maritime and education sectors.

Sea Change Completes US' First Hydrogen Refueling

The world’s first hydrogen fueling of a commercial marine vessel was successfully completed, and the vessel is now beginning its final sea trials before delivery, SWITCH Maritime announced.The new 75-passenger ferry, called the Sea Change, received hydrogen into its 242 kg tanks on the upper deck on November 18 at All American Marine shipyard. The United States' first zero-emissions, hydrogen fuel cell-powered, electric-drive ferry has been launched and is gearing up for operational trials off the U.S. West Coast.Constructed by Bellingham, Wash. shipbuilder All American Marine, Inc. (AAM), SWITCH Maritime's 70-foot newbuild Sea Change will operate in the California Bay Area as the United States' first hydrogen fuel cell vessel, developed to demonstrate a pathway to commercialization for zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell marine technologies. DFDS Seeks EU Support to Build Ferry Powered by Hydrogen Fuel Cells

Danish international shipping and logistics firm DFDS has, with its partners, applied for EU support for the development of a ferry powered by electricity from a hydrogen fuel cell system that only emits water. Green hydrogen is to be produced by a projected offshore wind energy-powered electrolyzer plant in Greater Copenhagen.A group of companies has partnered up in order to develop a 100% hydrogen-powered ferry for initially DFDS’ Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route.The partners in the project are DFDS, ABB, Ballard Power Systems Europe, Hexagon Purus, Lloyd’s Register, KNUD E.

Tome Choose Intergraph® Solutions for FPSO Topsides

Brazilian joint venture will use SmartMarine® Enterprise components for project with oil giant Petrobras. Tome Ferrostaal, a joint venture between Tome Engenharia and Ferrostaal in Brazil, has selected Intergraph® SmartMarine® Enterprise solutions, distributed by Sisgraph, as part of a project with Petrobras, one of the world's largest energy companies. Intergraph's enterprise engineering software will be used to construct the topsides of six identical floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, which will be built in Brazil. Sisgraph, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been a distributor of Intergraph solutions in South America for more than 30 years. Intergraph and Sisgraph are part of Hexagon.

The Chinese troop and logistics ship, a Yuting class, No. 934, is armed with three heavy guns, built-in cranes, and a helipad, reports 'The Philippine Star'.
