David Roodenburg Takes Over as Huisman CEO

David Roodenburg is the third generation from the Roodenburg family to become CEO of the Netherlands-based equipment manufacturer Huisman.His father, Joop Roodenburg, is currently active as President after he appointed Theo Bruijninckx CEO in April 2018, with the objective to prepare the company for the next generation. Bruijninckx will remain active in Huisman in his role as the company’s CFO.Since 1980, Huisman has been owned and led by the Roodenburg family, growing from 20 employees to 2,000 to date.

Huisman's Brazil Arm Delivers Its First Crane

Huisman said it is about to deliver the first crane built and tested at its production facility in Navegantes, Santa Catarina state, in the south of Brazil. This 50mt (Deck) Knuckle Boom Crane is the first of an order of two 50mt (deck) Knuckle Boom Cranes for DOF/Technip’s Skandi Olinda and Skandi Recife which are currently being built at Brazilian shipyard VARD Promar. Huisman Brazil Receives First Order

Huisman, one of the worldwide specialist in lifting, drilling and subsea solutions, has received a first order for their new production facility in Brazil. The new order includes three sets of five cranes, which will be manufactured as soon as construction of the Brazilian production facility is completed in 2014. The sets of cranes are scheduled for delivery between Q3 2015 and Q1 2017. The order includes three identical sets of cranes for the new build vessels Cassino, Curumim and Salinas.
