Huisman Cuts First Steel on COOEC’s 325mt VLS

On Monday, December 21, Huisman, the worldwide specialist in lifting, drilling and subsea solutions, held a steel cutting ceremony together with COOEC, a subsidiary of CNOOC, for their new pipelay system at the Huisman facility in China. It is a 325mt Vertical Lay System for flexible pipe. It will be the first Vertical Lay System ever operated and owned by a Chinese company. BigLift Shipping today celebrated the naming of its new heavy lift vessel, Happy Star, at a ceremony held at Huisman China’s yard in Xiamenand. Another Installation for Huisman's Skyhook

Yesterday, the installation of the 3,000mt Offshore Mast Crane onboard the Lewek Constellation was completed by means of Huisman China’s new 2,400mt quayside crane. The quayside crane, also known as the Skyhook, installed the 3,000mt Offshore Mast Crane in a mere two lifts within a three day period. BigLift Shipping Welcomes Happy Sky

BigLift Shipping celebrated the name-giving of its new Heavy Lift Vessel Happy Sky. The ceremony has taken place at Huisman China’s new quay side in Zhangzhou, China, which was officially opened at the same time. The name-giving ceremony of the Happy Sky was performed by Ms. Erni Bartel, the partner of Joop Rodenburg, CEO of Huisman. Huisman and BigLift Shipping share a long history together in the design of heavy lift cranes and handling materials. Besides that, Huisman has been a valuable customer for many years.

Huisman Begins Construction on New Quayside

On Thursday, June 16, 2011, Huisman’s CEO Joop Roodenburg gave the official start signal for the construction of Huisman China’s new quayside. With the new quayside in place, the Huisman China facility will be easily accessible for seagoing vessels, allowing for fast installation, commissioning and testing of the Huisman designed and built offshore construction equipment onboard. Besides the installation of Huisman products, the new quay and 2,400mt Travelling Crane will also serve commercial purposes for companies throughout China.
