Damaged Crew Boat Salvaged in Gulf of Mexico

Inland Salvage Inc. completed the salvage of a crew boat in the Gulf of Mexico. The vessel began taking on water after striking a structure during offshore operations. Attempts to bring the vessel in under her own power ended approximately 15 miles offshore from Pascagoula, MS when the seas began washing over her bow. All crewmembers safely abandoned the vessel and she was soon set adrift unmanned. Inland Salvage was contacted by the owner and mobilized crews to begin salvage operations.

Stranded GOM Drill Barge Refloated

ISI Salvage Operations.

Inland Salvage Inc. Successfully Refloats Stranded Drill Barge from the Caillou Island Oilfield in the Gulf of Mexico. Inland Salvage Inc. (ISI) recently demonstrated its diversified capabilities with the offshore deployment ISI salvage and emergency response equipment and personnel in the successful fuel removal, partial dismantlement and refloat of a stranded 2,500 ton posted drill barge. The drill barge suffered side shell damage and loss of watertight integrity due to contact with a support barge in rough seas.

Offshore Salvage of Barge 100 ft Down Succeeds

Inland Salvage Inc. Inland Salvage Inc. recently conducted offshore salvage operations 40 nautical miles southwest of Eugene Island, LA, successfully raising an anchor barge that sank in approximately 100 feet of water. They were called upon by the vessel's owner to develop and execute a safe and expedient salvage plan to recover the anchor barge which went down during high seas in the Gulf of Mexico. SI's Salvage Management Team quickly developed a salvage plan, taking into consideration the casualty's location and giving special attention to weather forecasts calling for offshore conditions to deteriorate within the next 96 hours. Plans were submitted, reviewed and approved by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Inland Salvage to Remove Capsized Barge

Inland Salvage Inc. (ISI) was recently selected as Salvor to conduct Wreck Removal Operations of a 2,650t Inland Drill Barge following an unsuccessful attempt by another contractor to salvage the barge. The barge partially capsized in Bayou Shaffer, near Morgan City, LA on September 4th, 2011. ISI provided initial emergency response, dive and lightering services after the barge capsized due to Tropical Storm Lee's storm surge. Inland Salvage Inc. was notified by the vessel's assured and underwriters that ISI had been appointed as the salvor.

Inland Salvage Battles to Salvage Coal Barge

Inland Salvage Inc. Salvage Team members recently fought with high current Mississippi River conditions to refloat a sunken coal barge near Lake Providence, LA. The barge was fully loaded and headed south when it went down in March of this year. Having been on the river bottom this long, the barge was partially buried in river sediment. The salvage crew began the task of digging the wreck clear. Methods involving clam buckets proved unsuccessful as the river current would cause the equipment to become fouled and uncontrollable. Inland Salvage Inc. (ISI) was recently voted in as a General Member of the American Salvage Association (ASA) during the 2011 National Maritime Salvage Conference and Exposition in Arlington, VA. Inland Salvage Inc.'s CEO, Mr. Eli Zatezalo stated; "It is a great honor to be voted in as a General Member of such an elite organization as the American Salvage Association. We have invested heavily in our salvage assets, dive assets, support equipment and I believe we have some of the most experienced salvage divers and salvage masters in the industry. Inland Salvage Completes Salvage of Sunken Barge

Inland Salvage Raises Scrap Metal Barge on the Mississippi River.

Inland Salvage Inc. Completes Lightering and Salvage Operations of Sunken Hopper Barge. Inland Salvage Inc.recently completed the removal of approximately 1000 tons of structural scrap steel from a sunken hopper barge and subsequent salvage of the barge which had been obstructing a loading dock on the Mississippi River near LaPlace, LA. Immediately upon being notified by the dock's owner that Inland Salvage Inc. (ISI) had been appointed as the salvor, ISI responded to the sinking of the 195' hopper barge laden with 1,000 tons of scrap metal when the barge sank.
