Golar LNG announced on Thursday it has appointed appointed Karl Fredrik Staubo as CEO, filling the void left by prior chief executive Iain Ross, who stepped down in April.Staubo has since May 2020 been the chief executive officer of Golar LNG Partners LP, recently sold to New Fortress Energy. Since September 2020 Staubo has also been acting as Golar's chief financial officer.Staubo's broad shipping/energy background includes time with Clarksons Platou Securities (2010-2018) and Magni Partners (2018-2020). He has a MA (Business Studies and Economics) from the University of Edinburgh.Golar has also appointed Eduardo Maranhao to take over Staubo's role as CFO.

Andreas Enger will replace Thor Jørgen Guttormsen as CEO of Höegh Autoliners effective September 8, 2020.Enger has served as an advisor to Höegh Autoliners for more than a year and became CFO in September 2019.Prior to joining Höegh Autoliners, he was a partner at Deloitte, leading its Nordic strategy practice. Earlier in his career Enger was a partner at McKinsey & Co and subsequently held senior executive positions at Norske Skog, PGS and Peterson Packaging. He holds a MSc in Engineering Cybernetics from NTNU in Norway, and an MBA from INSEAD in France.

Elizabeth Jackson has joined KVH Industries, Inc. as chief marketing officer and senior vice president for strategy.   Jackson has worked at a variety of companies including Proctor & Gamble, Campbell Soup Company, Summer Infant, and HookLogic, a Bain Capital Ventures portfolio company in ad tech performance marketing. Semi-submersible accommodation vessels owner and operator Prosafe has made several changes to its management team. Jesper Kragh Andresen was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Stig H. Christiansen as Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Prosafe Management AS. Georgina Georgiou will continue as General Manager of the parent company Prosafe SE. From 2012 and until recently, Andresen was CEO in Axis Offshore. Prior to this he was President of Lauritzen Offshore and Managing Director of J. Lauritzen Singapore.

Jacques Vandermeiren is Chief Executive Officer and President of the Executive Committee of Antwerp Port Authority as of 1 January 2017. Until January 2015 Vandermeiren was CEO and President of the Executive Committee of the network operator Elia, a listed company, where he held various management positions since joining it in 2001. Before that he worked for 11 years as Senior Advisor Strategy Direction with the energy company Electrabel. Vandermeiren has occupied various directorships with among others Febeg (Federation of Belgian Energy Companies) and the Federation of Belgian Enterprises. Michel van Roozendaal (M.Sc. Aerospace Engineering; MBA INSEAD, Fontainebleau; b. 1963) has been appointed President of the MacGregor business area. He will be a member of Cargotec's Executive Board and report to President and CEO Mika Vehviläinen. Michel van Roozendaal joins from Ingersoll-Rand where he has been heading the Thermo King Global Marine, Rail and Bus businesses. Craig Jessup has been appointed Senior Vice President, Services in Kalmar, part of Cargotec. Craig joins Kalmar from Ingersoll Rand where he headed the Industrial Technologies parts and services business for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. Before Ingersoll Rand, Craig worked 21 years at ABB where he held a variety of leadership positions in the service business and was in charge of the global Services business of ABB's Robotics division as VP Customer Service as well as the Worldwide Head of Service Technology. Craig, who has both US and French citizenships, has lived and worked in several countries, including the USA, Canada, France, the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The Thome Group has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, Olav Magnus Nortun, who will take up the position on 1st April, 2015. Mr Nortun, a Norwegian national, brings with him vast experience in the maritime industry, especially in the areas of strategic development and governance of production, knowledge management and systems related to ship classification. TITAN Salvage, Crowley Maritime Corporation’s marine salvage, emergency response and wreck removal company based in Houston, Texas, announce that Capt. Ajay Prasad has joined its leadership team as general manager, Southeast Asia. TITAN say that the veteran mariner, who started his career at sea over 20 years ago, will be domiciled in their Singapore office, reporting to TITAN’s Chris Peterson, vice president, and will oversee the company’s business and operational activities in Southeast Asia, Australia, the Pacific Rim and Middle East.

Odyssey Marine Exploration, a company in the field of deep-ocean shipwreck and offshore mineral exploration, appointed Mark B. Justh to its board of directors. Gianni Onorato will become the new Chief Executive Officer of the company, effective 2 September 2013. With almost 30 years’ experience in the cruise industry, Onorato has a thorough understanding of the cruise business and extensive experience in senior executive leadership, serving as President of Costa Crociere for over nine years. He graduated from the Istituto Orientale of Naples with a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures in 1983, and specialized in business administration at SDA Bocconi in Milan and INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

The Board of Directors of Chemoil Energy announced that the company’s CEO and Executive Chairman, Robert V Chandran passed away January 7, 2008 from injuries sustained when a helicopter he was traveling in crashed in the Riau Province of Indonesia. In the aircraft with Chandran was Terence Gidlow, Chemoil’s Vice President of Business Development, who was injured but is in stable condition. Chandran built Chemoil Energy into one of the world’s leading independent suppliers of marine fuels since he founded the company in 1981.

Neptune Orient Lines Limited (NOL) announced the appointment of international business figure Robert J. Herbold to the company’s Board of Directors, effective 1 February 2010. From 1994 to 2001, Herbold was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft Corporation. After retiring in 2001, Mr Herbold worked half-time for Microsoft until 2003 as Executive Vice President assisting in government, industry, and customer issues. Prior to joining Microsoft, Herbold spent 26 years at The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G). In his last five years with P&G he served as its Senior Vice President of Marketing.
