Vertom-Bojen Choose DNV GL Shipmanger Software

Vertom-Bojen Bereederungs GmbH & Co. KG is implementing DNV GL’s ShipManager integrated fleet management software to further improve cost efficiency, process optimization and quality of operations for 41 vessels. When Vertom and Bojen Reederei established the new organization Vertom-Bojen, the fleet consisted of vessels with different software setups that were not integrated. Data was collected, but the system was not streamlined in order to extract insights for management decisions. The management team at Vertom-Bojen realized that a new fleet management system was needed. Using several different software systems to manage one fleet can be costly, inefficient and lead to communication challenges between vessels and onshore management.

Wah Kwong Adopts ShipManager

Wah Kwong Ship Management (HK) Limited will adopt DNV GL's ShipManager integrated fleet management software suite to further improve operational efficiency, data transparency and safety reporting. Wah Kwong is a provider of maritime transport in the bulk carrier, tanker and LPG segments, operating a current fleet of 26 vessels, with nine more newbuilds on the way. It recently decided to implement ShipManager softward from DNV GL, with the aim to simplify and optimize ship management by allowing extensive fleet-wide data collection and analysis.

ABS Nautical Systems Grows

ABS Nautical Systems, one of the leading providers of integrated fleet management software for the maritime industry, announced another year of record growth in 2010. ABS Nautical Systems signed 83 new clients with a combined total of 1053 vessels overall. In the month of December, 18 new customers were signed – a number that roughly equates to a new contract signed daily. New clients signed across the globe include Chevron, Reederei Offen, Hapag-Lloyd, Donnelly Tankers Management, Nereus Shipping, Fleet Management Ltd., NAVSEA and Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company. ABS Nautical Systems opened new offices in Vancouver and Shanghai in 2010 to better serve each region, and will be announcing three additional openings in the spring of 2011.

ABS Nautical Systems NS5 Update

ABS Nautical Systems, provider of integrated fleet management software, announced the release of 5.5, an upgraded version of the NS5 suite of fleet management software modules. ABS Nautical Signs 30 New Contracts, Doubles Staff

During that period, which began with the launch of the Newbuild Program, ABS Nautical Systems has expanded their business by signing 30 new contracts in just 26 weeks. Karlstad Named Director of Sales at SIS
