Karl Senner LLC is a ubiquitous figure in the Gulf of Mexico workboat and offshore industry, supplying signature propulsion brands and service for decades. Industry insiders may have noted some changes of late, specifically the slight corporate identity slide from an “Inc.” to an “LLC”, and the ascension of Ralph Senner to the lead position. MR visited with Ralph Senner for insight on the outlook ahead for the company. You have been at the helm at Karl Senner, Inc. since May of 2012. What will remain the same for you and your customers?
Yang Ming Successfully Implements AMOS
SpecTec has successfully completed the implementation of AMOS on the first lot of 40 ships with Yang Ming. SpecTec will install AMOS on another 11 ships during the course of 2011, while more system will be implemented in 2012 to complete the Fleet installation which is to date of 89 ships. SpecTec has shown once again to be the only IT Company in shipping which, with its capacity of 300+ employees located in 25 offices all over the world, can deliver large fleet solutions in time and within the terms of the contract.
Safety: Monitoring & Control Products
Ros Inc. of San Diego, Calif. recently delivered four Anchor Bolster Deployment TV Systems to R&B Falcon of Houston, Texas. The systems will be installed on the semi-submersible drilling rig MG Hulme, presently operating off Western Africa. This system incorporates video inspection equipment mounted on a deployment frame which is raised and lowered to the rig's four anchor bolster mounts located at the base of the vessel's four main columns. Engine Monitor Inc. (EMI) has introduced what is being touted as the first totally U.S.-designed and manufactured Integrated Dynamic Positioning System (I-DPS). In development for the past two years, it will reportedly be the first DPS marketed as a complete system to include steering and engine controls in a single package.
