Hendry Marine Adds New Drydock

Hendry Marine Industries, Inc. (HMI) (along with its affiliated companies Gulf Marine Repair Corporation, Universal Environmental Solutions, LLC, and Anchor Sandblasting and Coatings, LLC) offers a broad range of maritime services in Port Tampa Bay, including commercial and government ship repair, steel fabrication, gas-freeing, tank cleaning, slop services, lead and asbestos abatement, brokered waste and blasting and coating. The Hendry family entered the maritime business in 1926 when Captain F.M. Hendry started a construction aggregate business and then later a dredging business.

Hendry Marine Acquires Anchor Sandblasting and Painting

Hendry Marine Industries, Inc. (HMI) informs it has acquired surface preparation and preservation company Anchor Sandblasting and Painting, Inc., in a move that further expands its range of services now including sandblasting, painting and other surface preparation and preservation services. The company will operate under the name Anchor Sandblasting and Coatings, LLC., and can be contacted through HMI. “We have partnered with Anchor for many years now and have always been impressed with their high-quality work,” said Jim Long, HMI CEO and President.

U.S. tug-barge shipyard Hendry Marine Industries, Inc., (HMI) has launched a new business development team, with Kristen Chittenden appointed Director of Business Development, and Eric Smith named VP & Chief Commercial Officer. Chittenden and Smith will work closely with Hendry Marine’s CEO and president, Jim Long, the executive leadership team and its various subsidiaries to set company strategy and develop new business opportunities. Hendry Marine CEO Aaron Hendry Passes Away

Aaron W. Hendry, husband, father and grandfather, as well as Florida business leader, died today at the age of 80. Aaron passed away peacefully in his home after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Aaron leaves behind his wife Barbara, six children and three grandchildren. “Aaron Hendry was a wonderful businessman, and a giant in the maritime industry,” said Dennis Manelli, ‎General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer at Hendry Marine. “He grew up in the maritime community and had great empathy and loyalty to his employees. Taylor VP Benefits and Compensation, Huntington Ingalls

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (NYSE:HII) announced that Jim Taylor has been named corporate vice president, benefits and compensation. In this capacity he is responsible for formulating and maintaining competitive benefit and compensation programs for HII, including executive compensation, salary and wage administration, incentives, deferred compensation, health and welfare insurance and retirement benefits.
