Kraken Robotics Nets Ocean Infinity Deal

The marine technology company Kraken Robotics has received $1.7 million purchase orders from Ocean Infinity for the AquaPix Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) sensors and support.According to a press note from the provider of software-centric sensors and underwater robotic systems, product delivery is expected during Q1 and Q2, 2019. This is the second set of purchase orders from Ocean Infinity under an initial master agreement contract announced in Q3 2017.Oliver Plunkett, President and CEO of Ocean Infinity said, “We are very pleased to add additional Kraken technology to our suite of latest generation tools with the order of further AquaPix SAS sensors for our AUV fleet.

Kraken Announced Executive Appointments

Kraken Sonar Inc. announced it has recruited two industry veterans to further develop its sensors-to-systems strategy. Kraken Completes U.S. Navy Sonar Trials

Kraken Sonar Systems Inc. announced that its Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Navy’s Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, Rhode Island was successful. NUWC Division Newport is one of two divisions of the U.S. Navy’s Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Its mission is to provide research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, undersea offensive and defensive weapons systems and countermeasures.

Kraken Awarded AquaPix Sonar Contract

Kraken Sonar Systems Inc., a  marine technology company, has announced  that it has been awarded a contract for an AquaPix Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Sonar system by Australia’s Defence Science and Technology Organization (DSTO). DSTO is the Australian government’s lead agency charged with applying science and technology to protect and defend Australia and its national interests. DSTO delivers expert, impartial advice and innovative defence solutions to agencies such as the Royal Australian Navy. Kraken’s AquaPix  Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Sonar (InSAS) system provides seabed images with unprecedented image resolution and detail.

Marport Opens New Office in Ottawa Area

Ottawa, Ontario – May 2, 2011 – Marport Deep Sea Technologies Inc., a leading developer of advanced sonar technology for commercial and military applications, is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Kanata, Ontario.
