Keppel Delivers FPSO

Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) has completed the upgrade and modification of FPSO Armada Perkasa for repeat customer Bumi Armada. A ceremony was held for the sail–away of the vessel for its deployment in the Okoro Setu Fields, Nigeria. Gracing the occasion was Mr Olatunde Emmanuel Odusina, Minister of State for Energy (Gas), Nigeria. Keppel Shipyard’s affiliation with Bumi Armada goes back into the last decade when it first converted the FPSO Armada Perkasa in 1997 for operation in the PM3 field, Malaysia. The vessel subsequently returned for refurbishment, life extension and repair prior to its current upgrade. This upgrade includes installation of additional field equipment and modification of FPSO and shipboard systems.

Keppel Delivers Sea Cheyenne for Gulfmark

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has delivered an Anchor Handling Tug/Supply (AHTS) vessel to Gulfmark Offshore Inc (Gulfmark) on schedule. The 140-ton bollard pull vessel was christened Sea Cheyenne by Rex Carroll Ross, wife of Rex Ross, Director of Gulfmark Offshore, at a naming ceremony on October 27, 2007. This is the third of eight vessels which Keppel Singmarine is building for the company since 2003. The design of the vessels is developed by Marine Technology Development (MTD), the ship design and development arm of Keppel O&M. Gene Leech, Executive Vice-President of Gulfmark Offshore, said, “Keppel Singmarine has once again delivered their vessel to us on time and to our full satisfaction.

Keppel FELS Delivers Third Super B Jackup to Transocean

Keppel FELS has delivered to Transocean their third consecutive KFELS Super B Class jackup rig on time, on budget and with zero lost-time incidents. The rig was named Transocean Ao Thai on August 31, 2013 at Keppel FELS and has been chartered to Chevron for work in offshore Thailand. Keppel Delivers Arabian Drilling Company Rig

Keppel delivers its 45th KFELS B Class jackup rig with another 18 such rigs on order. These KFELS B Class rigs make up more than 30% of the total jackups completed globally since 2000. The rig was delivered to Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) 14 days ahead of schedule, on budget and with a perfect safety record. Keppel FELS earning them an early delivery bonus of US$210,000. Named ArabDrill 50 at a ceremony, the rig will be chartered to Saudi Aramco for operations in offshore Saudi Arabia.

Keppel Delivers Project to Qatar Ahead of Schedule

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), will deliver its first jackup drilling rig ahead of time to Qatar’s national drilling company, Gulf Drilling International Ltd (GDI). Built to Keppel’s proprietary KFELS B Class design, the first rig will be named Al-Khor, after one of Qatar’s historical cities which has contributed to the development of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in the country in recent years. Lim Boon Heng, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office of the Republic of Singapore and Mr S Al-Shirrawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GDI and Finance Director of Qatar Petroleum graced the occasion of its inauguration ceremony at Keppel FELS in Singapore today.

Keppel Delivers FPSO

Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), a unit of Keppel Corporation Limited through Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has delivered FPSO Capixaba, with a conversion contract value of over S$90 million. The 13-month fast-track project is the sixth Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO/FSO) conversion project for Keppel Shipyard from Single Buoy Moorings (SBM), member of the SBM Offshore N.V. Group, since 2000. The work scope on the former Stena Congress includes installation and integration of topside modules; the fabrication and installation of the internal turret, flare tower, piperack and helideck; and installation of a hose reel at the stern for offloading to export vessels.

Keppel FELS to Deliver Ukraine’s second KFELS B Class Jackup Rig

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), is on track to deliver Ukraine's second KFELS B Class jackup rig ahead of schedule, within budget and with a perfect safety record. This follows the redelivery of their first jackup rig of the same design, in Ukraine in May this year. Built to Keppel's proprietary KFELS B Class design, this second jackup rig will be deployed on the Ukrainian shelf of the Black Sea for its owner Chernomornaftogaz. According to Ukraine's official estimates in 2011, the country boasts proven reserves of natural gas (1200 billion cubic meters) and oil and gas condensate (220 million tons).

Transocean Orders Third Jack-up Rig from Keppel FELS

Keppel FELS Limited has secured a repeat order from Transocean Offshore Deepwater Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Transocean Ltd., valued at $195 million. Following its order of two jack-up rigs from Keppel FELS on February 17, Transocean is exercising its option to build another high-specification jack-up rig based on the KFELS Super B Class Bigfoot design for delivery in 3Q2013. This rig is designed with larger spud cans, expanding its operational coverage to more places, especially areas where soft soil is predominant. Having larger spud cans enables the unit to operate efficiently while minimizing potential leg penetration problems in soft soil conditions.

Keppel Deliver KFELS B Class Jackup

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) will deliver a jackup to a wholly-owned subsidiary of SeaDrill Management (SeaDrill) on time and within budget. This is the third KFELS B Class rig that Keppel has completed within the first four months of 2006. During the christening ceremony of the jackup on April 21, 2006, Mr Choo Chiau Beng, Chairman & CEO of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), shared with the 300-strong guests, “The on-time delivery of the jackup is a showcase of the good management and execution of Keppel FELS. This rig is the first of four jackups that Keppel FELS is building for SeaDrill. Construction of the other three rigs is progressing well in accordance to schedule. Their expected deliveries are between mid 2007 and second quarter 2008.

Keppel Ends 2006 with Timely Deliveries

Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) completed and delivered 26 newbuilds and conversions, on time or ahead of time and within budget in 2006. Mr Tong Chong Heong, Managing Director of Keppel O&M, said, "At present, many shipyards worldwide are faced with high level of activities, and Keppel is no exception. "The on-time and ahead of time deliveries by our yards demonstrate that the Keppel O&M group remains on track in delivering profitability and growth with the strong and effective execution of our projects. In the past year, Keppel FELS delivered six jackup rigs, one semisubmersible drilling tender (SSDT) and one upgraded semisubmersible (semi), the Ocean Endeavor which was delivered in December. The yard also delivered its last jackup for the year on 27 December.

Another 2 Keppel FELS Rigs for Mexico

Keppel FELS Delivers Rigs Early

Keppel FELS Ltd (Keppel FELS) has delivered two rigs safely, ahead of schedule and within budget to owners. The KFELS B Class jackup rig, Greatdrill Chitra, was delivered to India’s Greatship Global Energy Services Pte Ltd (Greatship) 12 days ahead of schedule, earning Keppel FELS a bonus of S$300,000. Keppel FELS also delivered Gold Star, the world’s first DSS 38 deepwater semisubmersible drilling rig, to Brazilian operator, Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás (QGOG), six days early. Both rigs are well on-track for their maiden deployments.

Keppel FELS Delivers Jackup Rig to Ensco

Delivery marks 20th rig completion by Keppel FELS in 2013. Keppel FELS Ltd. (Keppel FELS) has delivered ENSCO 121, the second ultra-premium harsh environment ENSCO 120 Series jackup rig, to Ensco plc (Ensco). Built to an enhanced version of Keppel’s proprietary KFELS Super A Class design, the rig has been chartered for deployment in the North Sea. Keppel FELS Delivers Second Jackup Rig to Oro Negro

Keppel FELS delivered a second KFELS B Class jackup rig to offshore Mexican oil field services company, Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro. Named Laurus at Keppel FELS today, the rig was delivered eleven days early and with a perfect safety record, Keppel noted. Laurus is the second of two high-specification jackup rigs that Keppel FELS has built for Oro Negro which will be chartered to PEMEX, Mexico's national oil company, for deployment in offshore Mexico. The first rig, Primus, was delivered in December last year. Mr. Wong Kok Seng, Managing Director (Offshore) of Keppel Offshore & Marine and Managing Director of Keppel FELS, said, "This delivery is the eighth by Keppel FELS this year, and in a year where we aim to deliver a record 20 rigs.

Keppel FELS Delivers Another Premium Rig

Keppel FELS has delivered a KFELS B Class jackup rig, to Constructora y Perforadora Latina (CP LATINA), a private Mexican company in the energy sector. The rig was named La Santa Mariaat a ceremony in Keppel FELS. Delivered on time and with a perfect safety record, it will be chartered to Pemex, Mexico's national oil company, for deployment in offshore Mexico. La Santa Maria  is the first of two high-specification jackup rigs that Keppel FELS is building for CP Latina. The second rig is on schedule to be delivered in 4Q 2013. Keppel AmFELS Delivers Rowan Rig Ahead of Schedule

Keppel AmFELS LLC, a wholly owned US subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has completed the delivery of its fourth EXL jack-up rig to a subsidiary of Rowan Companies, Inc. (Rowan) (NYSE: RDC) with a perfect safety record, four months ahead of schedule and within budget. The jack-up rig was christened Rowan EXL-IV yesterday by Ms. Mary J. Dunaway and Ms. Audra M. Williamson, daughters of Mr. Johnnie Huckabay, one of Rowan's senior rig managers. The rig was delivered on September 1, 2011 and is scheduled to depart Keppel AmFELS' yard in Brownsville, Texas in October 2011. Mr Matt Ralls, President and CEO of Rowan, said, "This latest EXL jack-up rig is a key addition to our fleet of high-specification rigs and will enable us to further grow our offshore drilling business.

Keppel FELS Delivers 21st Rig of 2013

Keppel FELS Ltd (Keppel FELS) has delivered ARABDRILL 60, a KFELS B Class jackup rig, to Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) five days ahead of schedule, on budget and with a perfect safety record. Keppel Delivers Jackup to UMW-OG

Keppel FELS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) has delivered UMW Naga 8, a KFELS B Class jackup rig, to Malaysia’s UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Berhad (UMW-OG). Keppel FELS Completes Singaporean Project

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has completed the construction of its second jackup drilling rig for Gulf Drilling International Ltd (GDI), a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Japan Drilling Co., Ltd. (JDC). At a ceremony on 26 January 2008, the rig was named Al-Zubarah, after one of Qatar’s very important economic centres, by Mr Mohammad Al-Shirrawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GDI. Built to Keppel’s proprietary KFELS B Class design, the rig has been customised to GDI’s requirements for drilling in the Arabian Gulf. Al-Zubarah is capable of operating in water depths of up to 300 feet, drilling 30,000 feet deep and accommodating up to 110 men.

Keppel Completes Conversion Poject for Prosafe

Keppel Shipyard, the wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation Limited (KCL) through Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has successfully converted a 132,500 dwt tanker into a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel for Prosafe Production. The vessel, previously known as Grey Warrior, was named ABO FPSO by Ms AmaI Pepple, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nigeria, at a ceremony held at Keppel Shipyard this morning. It underwent repairs at Subic Shipyard in January and arrived at Keppel Shipyard in early July 2002 for conversion work. Keppel Singmarine Wins $46M in Contracts

Keppel Singmarine received orders for four offshore support vessels (OSVs) and two tugboats for about $46 million. The vessels will be progressively delivered to their owners up to first half of 2007. Currently, Keppel Singmarine has 22 vessels under construction, having delivered nine since the beginning of 2005. Its strong orderbook has placed the Company as one of the world’s leading builders of offshore support vessels. Keppel Singmarine will build two Anchor Handling and Tug/ Supply (AHTS) vessels each for Saudi Arabia companies, HADI Establishment (HADI) and Zamil Operations and Maintenance Co. A repeat customer since 2001, HADI has ordered from Keppel Singmarine a total of nine vessels including the latest two vessels. Zamil Operations and Maintenance Co. Ltd.

Keppel FELS Delivers First of 20 Rigs for 2013

Keppel FELS is delivering its first rig of 2013, 'Dynamic Vision', to Dynamic Offshore subsidiary Vision Drilling. The KFELS B Class jackup rig, Dynamic Vision, is the first of the 20 offshore rigs that Keppel FELS is expected to deliver in 2013 and will be delivered almost two months ahead of schedule (with a perfect safety record), to garner an early delivery bonus of about US$ 1 million. Built and optimised to meet the unique environmental requirements of India, Dynamic Vision is capable of operating in water depths of 350 feet and drilling down to 30,000 feet. Keppel's advanced and fully-automated high capacity rack and pinion elevating system and self-positioning fixation system have been incorporated into the design.
