Van Oord Christens Second LNG-powered TSHD Vox Apolonia

Van Oord announced on Tuesday it has christened its new trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Vox Apolonia, built by Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd shipyard in Singapore.The newbuild is the second in a series of three new dual-fuel liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueled TSHDs being built for the Dutch dredging and marine services contractor.The 10,500-cubic-meter-capacity Vox Apolonia and its sister vessels Vox Ariane and Vox Alexia, fall into the mid-class section of Van Oord’s TSHD fleet. measuring 137.5 meters long and 27.6 meters across the beam.

Van Oord announced it has accepted delivery of its new trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD), Vox Apolonia, from Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd shipyard in Singapore.The newbuild is the second in a series of three new dual-fuel liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueled TSHDs being built for the Dutch dredging and marine services contractor.The 10,500-cubic-meter-capacity Vox Apolonia and its sister vessels Vox Ariane and Vox Alexia, fall into the mid-class section of Van Oord’s TSHD fleet.

Keppel Wins Marine Contracts Worth $219M

• Design and Build an ice-class LNG Bunker Vessel• Modification and upgrade of an FPSO• 65 Scrubber Retrofit Projects Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) has through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) and Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), clinched contracts worth a combined value of about $219 million for the design and construction of an ice-class LNG bunker vessel, refurbishment of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO), and 65 scrubber retrofit projects.

ABS to Class Singapore's First LNG Bunker Barge

Singapore’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunker barge scheduled to begin construction in January 2019. The 7,500 cubic meter capacity barge will be owned and operated by a joint venture between Shell and Keppel Offshore & Marine, FueLNG Pte Ltd, who selected ABS to class the vessel.To help spur the project, Singapore’s Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) recently granted up to $3 million to FueLNG Pte Ltd to build the barge. The vessel will be based in the Port of Singapore and will supply LNG fuel to large oceangoing vessels throughout the region.“This project is an important milestone for the region and is a key component of Singapore’s strategy to become the world’s largest bunkering port,” said ABS Vice President Global Gas Solutions, Patrick Janssens.

Keppel to Build South East Asia’s First LNG Bunkering Vessel

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, has secured a contract from FueLNG, a joint venture between Keppel O&M and Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd, to build South East Asia's first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering vessel valued at approximately S$50 million. Scheduled for completion in 3Q 2020, the dual-fuel LNG bunkering vessel will have a capacity of 7,500 cubic metres. FueLNG will receive a grant of up to S$3 million as part of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore's (MPA) LNG Bunkering Pilot Programme (LBPP). Mr Andrew Tan, CEO of MPA, said, "We are pleased that FueLNG, Keppel and Shell are taking the lead in growing the LNG bunkering infrastructure in Singapore.

Keppel to Build Additional Dredgers for Jan De Nul

Keppel Offshore & Marine's (Keppel O&M) wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) has secured contracts from Codralux S.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jan De Nul Group, to build two Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHDs). The dredgers are valued at approximately $120 million, including owner-furnished equipment. Keppel Singmarine is currently building three dredgers for Jan De Nul Group, based on contracts that were secured in July 2016. The first of the two dredgers for this new order is expected to be completed in 2H 2019. Construction of the second dredger will require Codralux S.A to exercise the option within six months from now.

Keppel Grows LNG Business

Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) announced it has secured contracts to build its first two dual-fuel diesel liquefied natural gas (LNG) harbor tugs, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Keppel-Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) to jointly explore opportunities in using LNG as fuel. Keppel O&M's wholly owned subsidiary Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd secured the tug contracts from Keppel Smit Towage Pte. Ltd and Maju Maritime Pte. Ltd. who have ordered one unit each. The two tugs are expected to use bunkering services provided by the joint venture company, FueLNG Ltd. The tugs will be built to Keppel's proprietary design which won the Outstanding Maritime R&D and Technology Award at the 2015 Singapore International Maritime Awards.

Three Keppel Dredgers for Jan De Nul

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M)'s wholly owned subsidiary Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) has secured contracts from Jan De Nul Group to build three Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHDs). The TSHDs are worth about S$100 million in total. The first two dredgers are expected to be completed in 2H 2018 while construction of the third dredger will require a notice within six months from Jan De Nul to exercise the option for the dredger. To be built to Jan De Nul's design, the dredgers will be able to dredge to a maximum depth of 27.6m, and have a hopper capacity of 3,500 m3. The two dredgers will be built to the requirements of classification society, Bureau Veritas, in Keppel Nantong Shipyard, a subsidiary of Keppel O&M.

Bumi Armada Awaits Triple Delivery

Specialized shipbuilder Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), says it is on track to deliver three ice-class vessels to Bumi Armada Offshore Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Bumi Armada Berhad in September. The new vessels, two supply vessels and one multipurpose duty-rescue vessel, were named Bumi Uray, Bumi Pokachi & Bumi Naryan-Mar, respectively, at a ceremony at Keppel Singmarine Thursday. Keppel Singmarine Win S$65 mi Contracts

Specialised shipbuilder Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has secured two contracts worth a total of about S$65 million. The first contract was awarded by Seaways International Pte. Ltd. (Seaways) to build a multi-task Anchor Handling Tug (AHT) vessel suitable for an array of offshore activities. Designed by Robert Allan and belonging to the Rampage Series, the AHT vessel will have a designed bollard pull of 100 tonnes, and be equipped with Class 1 and 2 fire-fighting capabilities, dynamic positioning systems Class 2, oil recovery Class I capabilities and a host of other equipment. When completed in 2Q 2016, this vessel will be the fifth AHT unit that Keppel Singmarine has built for Seaways.

RS Expands Participation in Offshore Projects

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) is to undertake ship construction survey for the Lukoil Group. This project follows the RS effective cooperation with one of the major RF oil companies in developing offshore hydrocarbon resources. RS has signed contracts for the whole range of classification and statutory services under the construction of an offshore salvage ship by Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd in Singapore and two offshore support vessels by Keppel Nantong in China. The completion of trials and delivery of all the ships are planned for 2015. The new ships will join the Lukoil offshore fleet for the northern sector of the Caspian Sea. They are designed to supply and ensure the safe operation of the Filanovsky field offshore development facilities.

Keppel Reports Batch of New Projects

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd.'s (Keppel O&M) subsidiaries Keppel Shipyard Ltd., Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd. and Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd. have secured contracts worth a total of about S$140 million. Michael Chia, Managing Director (Marine & Technology) of Keppel O&M, said, "We are happy to be able to offer our comprehensive suite of offshore and marine solutions to our valued repeat customers, who are once again placing their confidence in Keppel by entrusting their projects with us. Keppel Shipyard will undertake for SOFEC, Inc. (SOFEC) the fabrication of an external turret mooring system for an FPSO vessel that will operate in the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme fields in Ghana, in water depth averaging 1,500 meters. Fabrication of the turret is expected to be completed in 1Q 2015.

Keppel Secures $200 Million in Contracts

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd's (Keppel O&M) subsidiaries - Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. (Keppel FELS Brasil) and Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) - have secured two contracts worth S$200 million from repeat customers. Keppel FELS Brasil's contract is with MODEC and Toyo Offshore Production Systems Pte Ltd (MTOPS), a joint-venture company between MODEC, Inc. and Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO), to integrate the topside modules of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit. This project will be carried out at BrasFELS, Keppel FELS Brasil's yard in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In Singapore, Keppel Shipyard has been engaged by SBM Offshore N.V.

Keppel’s Logs $8.1B in Contracts in ‘12

Keppel Secures Contracts Worth S$150 Million

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) through its subsidiaries, Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) and Keppel Verolme BV (Keppel Verolme), has secured contracts totaling S$150 million from international customers. Keppel Singmarine, the specialised shipbuilding division of Keppel O&M, has entered into contracts for the building of a 91-metre container vessel and three 4000 DWT (deadweight tonnage) bulk ore/fuel carriers for Papua New Guinea customer Ok Tedi Mining Limited (Ok Tedi Mining), while Keppel Verolme, Keppel O&M's comprehensive yard in the Netherlands, is undertaking upgrading activities of a semisubmersible drilling rig, Scarabeo 6, for Italian customer Saipem Misr for Petroleu Services S.A.E. (Saipem).

Keppel Secures S$240M in Shipbuilding Contracts

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through wholly-owned subsidiaries Keppel Shipyard Limited and Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, has clinched new contracts totalling S$240 million. These comprise the upgrading of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, the conversion of a livestock carrier, as well as the building of a diving support vessel. With these latest projects, the total value of new contracts secured by Keppel O&M in 2010 has edged up to S$3.2 billion. Keppel to Deliver Derrick Pipelay Vessel

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, the specialized shipbuilding arm of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), is on schedule to deliver Global 1200, the first of two new generation derrick pipelay vessels to Global Industries. Keppel Delivers Five Vessels on Schedule

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine), the shipbuilding arm of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has demonstrated its commitment to meet the needs of customers with the timely and safe deliveries of five ships. These five vessels, including a Multi-Purpose Supply and Support Vessel (MPSSV), an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel and three tugboats, have all exceeded their contractual bollard pull and speed during the sea trials. Keppel Delivers Rescue Vessel

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) has delivered a Multi-purpose Duty Rescue Vessel on schedule to LUKOIL-Kaliningradmorneft (LUKOIL). Jointly designed by Marine Technology Development (MTD), the ship design and development arm of Keppel O&M, and its consultants, Robert Allan, Kogalym is the fifth vessel Keppel Singmarine has delivered to LUKOIL since 2003. Named after a key production region for LUKOIL in western Siberia, Kogalym was christened by Mrs. Olga Kessler, Environmental Engineer (Labour Safety) of LUKOIL at Keppel Singmarine.

Asia’s First Two Arctic Icebreakers

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) has completed Asia’s first two icebreakers, built for one of the harshest marine frontiers on Earth, the Arctic sea for client, LUKOIL-Kaliningradmorneft (LUKOIL). Mr Charles Foo, Chairman of Keppel Singmarine, said “This is the first time that icebreakers meant for the Arctic region have been built in the tropics. The second vessel was named Varandey by Mrs Lyudmila Velikova, wife of Mr Victor Velikov, Deputy General-Director of LUKOIL at a Russian-themed ceremony at Marina at Keppel Bay today.
