Qatar’s Hamad Port announced the addition of a new service from South Korean shipping line Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) to its growing network list, QNA reported. HMM’s 365.5-metre-long ‘Hyundai Drive’ made its first call to Hamad Port, marking the official start of a new Hyundai Merchant Marine’s KME (Korea Middle East Express) service. It is the largest container vessel to make its maiden call in Qatar since the opening of Hamad Port. The vessel from Kwangyang Port in South Korea arrived at Hamad Port in the container terminal CT1. At a length of 365.5 m, the vessel extends its Korea-Middle East service with a weekly call to Qatar. The ship's cargo is 13,154 TEUs, linking China, Korea and Qatar.

Kongsberg Maritime has been awarded Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation (EPCI) contracts with the Glasgow based shipbuilder and marine fabricator, Ferguson Marine Engineering Limited (FMEL). The contracts, worth more than NOK 160 Million, cover deliveries to two 100 meter ferries for Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL). Kongsberg Maritime, together with its wholly owned subsidiary Kongsberg Maritime Engineering (KME) will execute the project. Kongsberg Maritime has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract with Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG), a subsidiary of Siem Group. The contract, worth more than NOK 120 Million, covers engineering and maritime technology deliveries to a RoPax ferry for Irish Continental Group (ICG). Kongsberg Maritime together with its wholly owned subsidiary Kongsberg Maritime Engineering (KME) will execute the project. KME will provide all engineering, procurement and project management while Kongsberg Maritime will supply a 'Full picture' system delivery. The RoPax ferry will have a 194.80 m length overall and 31.6 m beam with a cargo capacity of 2,800 lane meters, and an additional dedicated car deck for 300 cars.

Kongsberg Maritime has been awarded offshore EPC contracts worth more than NOK 520 million from the China Merchants Heavy Industries (CMHI) covering the deliveries of to two semi-submersible heavy lift and accommodation vessels; OOS Serooskerke and OOS Walcheren, to be built at CMHI (Jiangsu) in Haimen, China for Serooskerke Shipco BV / Walcheren Shipco BV in the Netherlands. Kongsberg Maritime together with its wholly owned subsidiary Kongsberg Maritime Engineering (KME) will execute the project. KME will provide all engineering, procurement and project management while Kongsberg Maritime will supply a ‘full picture’ system delivery. The vessels are based on a similar design to the OOS Greta (pictured) currently operating for Petrobras in Brazil.

Kongsberg Maritime Engineering (KME), the wholly owned Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) subsidiary of global maritime technology developer Kongsberg Maritime, will deliver an Integrated Control and Safety System for the new BW Offshore Catcher FPSO. The contract follows BW Offshore’s signing of a lease and operate contract with Premier Oil and its joint venture partners at the end of April 2014 for a FPSO to operate on the Catcher oil field in the U.K. North Sea. The field is owned by Premier Oil (50%, operator), Cairn Energy (30%) and MOL (20%). BW Offshore's scope includes the delivery of the FPSO, mooring system, installation and operation of the unit throughout the charter period.

Kongsberg Maritime Engineering (KME) has signed a contract with Gina Krog LLC, a subsidiary of Teekay Shipping AS, for supply of an Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) and Power package to the Gina Krog FSO (Floating Storage and Offloading) unit, to be delivered to the Statoil operated Gina Krog field on the Norwegian continental shelf, North Sea. Teekay recently entered an agreement with Statoil to provide the FSO for the Gina Krog field.
