Konecranes Appoints New CEO and President

Konecranes, which specialises in the manufacture and service of cranes and lifting equipment, has appointed a new president and CEO, Rob Smith, who will take over his new role as of February 1, 2020.As of today, the Finnish company's CFO, Teo Ottola, who also serves as Deputy CEO, will be acting as the interim CEO until Rob Smith starts in the position."Konecranes has concluded the integration following the MHPS acquisition that took place almost three years ago. Konecranes Appoints Juha Pankakoski as CDO

Juha Pankakoski (47) has been appointed Chief Digital Officer of Konecranes Plc. He will be responsible for all Information Systems and the overall Process Architecture of Konecranes. He will also assume a wider responsibility for the company’s digitalization strategy. Mr. Pankakoski will be a member of the Konecranes Group Executive Board and will report to Pekka Lundmark, President & CEO. Mr. Pankakoski will start in his new position on January 1, 2015. Juha Pankakoski has worked at Konecranes since 2004 and is currently holding a position of Vice President, Head of Business Unit Parts. He has previously held several management positions in operations and business development at Konecranes. Juha Pankakoski has a M.Sc.(Eng) degree and an eMBA.

Leading crane service organisation Konecranes says it is introducing to the South-East Asia – Pacific region its most advanced family of remote service technologies, its TRUCONNECT Remote Services for enhanced safety, reliability and efficiency. Konecranes Appoints CFO

Teo Ottola (MSc) has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Konecranes Plc. His areas of responsibility will be business control, accounting, financing and investor relations. The present CFO, Teuvo Rintamäki, announced his resignation in February 2007, but he will continue as CFO until Mr Ottola has settled in to his new position. Mr Ottola will be a member of the Konecranes Group Executive Board and will report to Pekka Lundmark, President & CEO. Mr Ottola will start in his new position on August 20 2007.
