COSCO Shipping Ports, CMA CGM Ink Concession Deal with Zeebrugge Port
COSCO Shipping Ports , the world’s leading port operator, announced a signing ceremony was held today with Port of Zeebrugge in Brussels of Belgium for the concession terms of CSP Zeebrugge Terminal. The event also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Company and CMA CGM Group, the Marseille based world’s leading shipping company and member of Ocean Alliance, for CMA’s initial investment of 10% in CSP Zeebrugge. Kris Peeters, Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Work, Economic Affairs and Consumer Affairs, responsible for Foreign Trade, said, “COSCO Shipping's decision once again proves that, with its open economy and central position in Europe, Belgium is the ideal place for logistic investments.
Adani Ports, Port of Zeebrugge Explore Joint Opportunities
Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd., India’s largest private port developer and part of the Adani Group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Belgian Port of Zeebrugge to act as a strategic entry port for the lucrative European market. It will now collaborate with the Belgian port to explore joint business opportunities between the two ports along with other forms of trade, shipping, railway infrastructure across India and Europe. The MoU over a period of time will help in an enhanced movement of traffic to and from APSEZ into Europe and beyond.
Port of Antwerp Power Supply Facility
The world's first Onshore Power Supply (OPS) facility with automatic synchronization and 50/60 Hz conversion has been formally activated by Flemish Minister-President Kris Peeters in the presence of leading government and Port of Antwerp officials.
