AVEVA, Trimble Partner

AVEVA and Trimble announced  that they are collaborating to provide an efficient integration between Trimble’s 3D laser scanning solutions and AVEVA’s laser scanning software solutions, including the LFM Software suite, for the plant, power and marine industries. The integration will enable customers to rapidly capture, import and integrate 3D laser scan data into their design workflows. AVEVA and FARO Ink Agreement

A CAD object designed in AVEVA PDMS clashed against the existing environment scanned by a FARO scanner, displayed within the BubbleView.

Agreement to provide customers with a complete 3D capture and engineering design solution. AVEVA, an engineering design and information management solutions for the plant, power and marine industries, and FARO, a leader in high precision laser scanning and 3D Documentation Technology, announced today that they have signed an Interoperability Agreement. Under the terms of this agreement AVEVA and FARO will co-operate closely to provide an efficient integration between FARO’s laser scan hardware technology and AVEVA’s portfolio of laser engineering and design software solutions.

AVEVA acquires LFM Software

AVEVA expands laser scanning software offering for brownfield project execution and asset operations. AVEVA announced the acquisition of Z+F UK Limited. The strategic acquisition includes only the division of Z+F which produces the LFM software suite. This follows a long and successful partnership with Z+F UK Limited and allows AVEVA to secure an industry leading software technology that significantly expands its offering in the 3D data capture market, while remaining fully independent from laser scanner hardware vendors.
