VARD SeaQ Bridge gets Lilaas touch

‘Finger-grip’ vessel control offering precise tactile feedback may seem radical for those accustomed to conventional levers, but the combination is proving a focus for those considering SeaQ Bridge, the new bridge concept from VARD. Functionally and ergonomically, the pad-like ‘levers’ integrated in the SeaQ Propulsion Control fit perfectly in the hand and provide customizable haptic feedback. ‘Below the plate’, the unique man-machine interface in enabled by technology from Lilaas, which has adapted its breakthrough LO1 control technology to deliver the advanced touch sensitive functionality required. VARD says that its objective has been to deliver controls that report high-level data instantly, “reducing the user’s cognitive load” to enhance performance in high-pressure situations.

IMTRA informs it has partnered with Lilaas to bring the latest controls to the U.S. market. With this exclusive distribution agreement, Lilaas products will enhance IMTRA’s line of OEM products. Lilaas Engages Imtra for North American Distribution

Prospects in the North American marine equipment market have triggered a new and distribution agreement between control specialist Lilaas AS and marine and offshore sales and support organization Imtra Corporation, of New Bedford, Mass. The deal, initially over three years, will see Imtra’s 52-man organization offering product and after sales technical support for Lilaas control levers, joysticks and rudder controls in the U.S. and Canada. Imtra’s clients include vessel operators in the commercial marine, inland waterway, fishing and offshore sectors, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S.

The deal, initially over three years, will see Imtra’s 54-man strong organization offering product and after sales technical support for Lilaas control levers, joysticks and rudder controls in the US and Canada. Imtra’s clients include vessel operators in the commercial marine, inland waterway, fishing and offshore sectors, as well as the US Coast Guard and US Navy, while the company also supplies products to the oil rig sector.

Lilaas Sets Service and Distribution Deals in Asia

Marine and offshore controls specialist Lilaas AS has reached its first direct service and distribution agreements in Asia, as part of its strategic plan to support increasing demand for its levers and joysticks. The company, which develops and manufactures all its products in the heart of Norway’s marine electronics industry, in Horten, has come to a service partnership and agency agreement with Z-Power Automation, Singapore, and a separate distribution deal with Shanghai EJH Group, Shanghai.
