Keppel, Golar to Build FLNG Facility

Keppel Corporation will partner liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping company Golar LNG  to develop a floating LNG facility (FLNG) facility to be located on the Mauritania and Senegal maritime border.Keppel will partner Golar by subscribing for 30 per cent in Gimi MS Corporation, through Keppel's indirect wholly owned subsidiary First FLNG Holdings (FFH). Arc7 Class Arctic Vessels for Yamal LNG Facility

A new ice-breaking liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker of the Arc7 class has begun sea trials by South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) around the island of Geoje, Refinitiv Eikon data shows.The Nikolay Zubkov, formerly known as Hull DSME 2429, exited DSME's port on Geoje on Tuesday and has zig-zagged across the Korea Strait, the data showed. MODEC Secures FPSO FEED Contract

MODEC, Inc. subsidiary MODEC International Inc. has been awarded a contract by ConocoPhillips Australia, as operator of the Barossa joint venture, for the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) of a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for Australian waters.Under the contract, MODEC will participate in the FEED on a competitive basis against a JV of two other contractors.Barossa is an offshore gas and light condensate project that proposes to provide a new source of gas to the existing Darwin LNG facility. Shell Gets Mexico LNG Supply Tender

Royal Dutch Shell will supply Mexico with six LNG cargoes to be delivered in May and June, Reuters has reported, citing trade sources. State-run utility CFE held a tender on 2 May for deliveries to Mexico’s Altamira terminal in the Gulf of Mexico. According to the tender, deliveries are set to be made to the Vopak-operated Altamira LNG import terminal on Mexico’s Atlantic coast. There are six delivery windows for each cargo staggered throughout May and June. The delivery windows for the cargoes are May 11-13, 18-20, 27-29, June 5-7, 13-15 and 21-23, according to the document.

Crowley Loads First Cargo at New Eagle LNG Plant

The first cargo of nearly 11,000 gallons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) was loaded at the new Eagle LNG Partners liquefaction facility located near Jacksonville, Fla. Cove Point LNG Terminal's First Export Imminent

Methane Spirit, a liquefied natural gas tanker, said on Thursday it would arrive at Dominion Energy Inc's Cove Point LNG export facility in Maryland around March 31, according to Reuters shipping data. If correct, that could be the first vessel to pick up a cargo from the LNG facility, which Virginia-based Dominion said it expects to enter service in March. Dominion said it planned to spend $4 billion to add export facilities at Cove Point, long an LNG import terminal on the Chesapeake Bay.

Crowley, Pivotal Reach Multi-Year LNG Supply Pact

Crowley Fuels has announced that it has signed another multi-year supply contract with Pivotal LNG to support a major pharmaceutical company’s energy needs in Puerto Rico. The contract, executed through Crowley subsidiary Carib Energy (USA) LLC, calls for Crowley to transport LNG from Pivotal facilities on the mainland to the island manufacturer. With Crowley’s supply chain solution, LNG is loaded into Crowley’s 10,000-gallon international shipping organization (ISO) containers at one of Pivotal’s LNG supply sources in the southeastern U.S.
