Boskalis Wins LNG Modules Contract

Dutch dredging and heavylift company Royal Boskalis Westminster has been awarded a contract for the transportation of a large number of modules for a North American LNG export facility.The contract value amounts to approximately USD 55 million with additional options for extensions, worth up to USD 30 million, a press release said.The scope of work includes the logistical management and transportation of various large modules from a fabrication yard in China to the facility in North America. Boskalis Bags New Contracts

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has acquired a sizable logistical management transport contract and has received a letter of award for the transport and float-over installation of an offshore platform with a combined contract value of approximately USD 65 million. The global services provider operating in the dredging, maritime infrastructure and maritime services sectors said that the logistical management contract scope is for the transportation of a large number of modules from a fabrication yard in Asia to a plant being developed in North America. The contract ties up two high-end open-stern heavy transport vessels for approximately 475 vessel days each commencing late 2019.

Australian Contract for an Armada of Dockwise Vessels

Dockwise, a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has been awarded a contract by Bechtel for shipping modules for the Chevron-operated LNG production Wheatstone Project in Western Australia. The contract value is estimated at approximately USD 275 million, making it the largest contract ever for Dockwise and work will commence in early 2014. Dockwise $45M in Heavy Marine Transport Awards

Dockwise Ltd. announced four awards for Heavy Marine Transport (HMT) Projects that include an FPSO, two jack-up rigs and a power barge. Total revenues for these various commitments are almost $45m. Dockwise was awarded a contract with HHI (Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., LTD.) for the transport, loading, and discharge of Goliat, a 58,000 metric ton, cylinder shape Sevan 1000 design, fully integrated FPSO (Floating Production and Storage Offloading). Transport of the Goliat from Ulsan, Korea to Hammerfest, Norway is scheduled for 2013. The Goliat is 367.5 ft in diameter and 246 ft high. Dockwise has also been selected as the contractor of choice by Seadrill Offshore AS for the transport, loading, and discharge of their newbuild CJ70 jack-up rig.

Dockwise Backlog Update

Dockwise Ltd. announced that contracts have been secured by its subsidiary Dockwise Shipping. Next to an engineering assignment, the transportation of a semi- submersible rig, a jack- up rig and river barges for a value of $20m were signed for the short term. For execution in 2012 Dockwise received a Letter of Award for the transport and installation by means of a float over of a large offshore production platform in the Far East for a value of $45m. Dockwise has been contracted to transport drilling rigs to Australia and Rotterdam respectively. The bulk of the rig contract work is for completion within the first half of 2010. Total contract revenues are expected to be approximately $20m.

Mighty Servant 3 Rejoins Dockwise Fleet

Dockwise Ltd, announces that, through its subsidiary the fully renewed and reinstated Mighty Servant 3 has rejoined the fleet of Dockwise. The vessel has been under repair at the Grand Bahama Shipyard since January, 2008. The entire vessel has been rebuilt beginning with the steel hull. New machinery, electrical systems and equipment have been installed to the latest standards and designs, using the original functionality and foot print. "This is a reinstatement project in a magnitude that has never been performed before - no one has ever taken a vessel submerged in 50 meters of seawater for 5 months and brought her back to service. This has been a very unique project," stated Eugène van Dodeweerd, Manager Fleet Supervision Quality & Safety of Dockwise Shipping B.V..
