Stolt Tankers is First to Apply Graphene Hull Coating Technology

Stolt Tankers reports it is the first shipping company in the world to apply a cutting-edge sustainable coating to the hull of one of its vessels.The X-GIT FUEL graphene technology, developed by Graphite Innovation & Technologies (GIT) Coatings, has the potential to reduce fuel consumption and resulting greenhouse gas emissions.X-GIT FUEL is a hard foul release hull coating that creates an ultra-low friction surface to increase vessel performance, without the use of biocides, silicon oils or toxic components.

NYK Group, Stolt Tankers, and ENEOS Ocean Unveil Chemical Ship Pool Business

The NYK Group, Stolt Tankers, and ENEOS Ocean launched a chemical ship pool business in the Asia-Pacific region in October.Shipowners and operators pool their vessels and undertake transportation services at the request of shippers. Stolt Tankers Buys Tanker Pair for Caribbean Trade

Stolt Tankers acquired two 15,000 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers built in 2018 and 2019 respectively. The ships will be named Stolt Condor and Stolt Tucan, joining Stolt Tankers’ Inter-Caribbean service (SNICS) improving Stolt Tankers’ service offering and capability for customers in the US Gulf and Caribbean markets. Stolt Tankers to Test Shore Power in Rotterdam

Stolt Tankers has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Port of Rotterdam Authority and Vopak Botlek to conduct a six-month feasibility study for the use of shore-based power for chemical tankers calling at Vopak’s Botlek terminal. Stolt Tankers Adds Three Chemical Tankers

Stolt-Nielsen Limited announced on Friday that Stolt Tankers B.V. has entered into agreements to acquire three 33,600 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers built in Japan. Stolt Tankers Reports 6% CO2 Emissions Reduction

Latest figures show that Stolt Tankers has reduced its fuel consumption by 6% compared to 2020. Stolt-Nielsen to Buy Five Chemical Tankers from CTG

Stolt-Nielsen has via Stolt Tankers B.V. agreed to buy five chemical tankers from Chemical Transportation Group (CTG) for trading in the Stolt Tankers Joint Service, in a move to modernize its fleet.The five ships, which are 26,000 dwt and with stainless steel cargo sections, were built in China in 2016 and 2017. The purchase of each ship isexpected to close between December 2020 and February 2021. Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Lucas Vos will leave his post as from 1, May 2013. “Lucas Vos has been part of the top management team in Maersk Line for the past five years. He has been an integral part of turning the company around with the ambitious streamLINE programme and lately contributed to the plan of making Maersk Line the most profitable player in the industry”, says Maersk Line CEO Søren Skou and continues: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank Lucas for his efforts and the good collaboration. We are sad to see him go and wish him best of luck.” There is yet no decision of succession, but the process has been initiated.
