Shipbuilder All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) said it has launched an aluminum catamaran built to patrol Texas state and federal waters for the law enforcement division of Texas Parks and Wildlife. The 80’ x 27’ (OAL) Captain Murchison features twin CAT C18 ACERT D Engines, with Hamilton Jet HM 521 waterjets and is built to USCG Subchapter T standards. It is also the first vessel in North America to feature Hamilton Jet’s innovative Advanced Vessel Control (AVX) system. The new AVX features include both a station keeping and a JETanchor positioning system.

DMW Marine Group, LLC. has delivered two 40 ton meter knuckleboom cranes to the U.S. Navy. The model M400 cranes will replace two similarly sized cranes that were provided by another vendor. The Navy has decided to replace its rusty equipment with a corrosion resistant marine crane, according to DMW Marine Group. DMW Marine Group said its equipment features stainless steel pipes and fittings, a sand blasted and flame metalized structure and Ni-Cr 500 piston rods which enables their cranes to withstand marine environments.

DMW Marine Group announced it has completed factory acceptance testing on four of its model M400.24A4 cranes with DNV OS E101 certification and type approval. The cranes are for installation on new drillships for a U.S. customer, DMW said, adding that 12 more cranes are to follow in the next year for the same customer. dmwmarinegroup.com
