Strategic Marine to Build CTV for Polish Offshore Wind Industry

New CTV Ordered for Polish Offshore Wind Sector

Singaporean shipbuilder Strategic Marine reports it has secured an order to construct a newbuild crew transfer vessel (CTV) for the Polish offshore wind sector.The order comes from LOTOS Petrobaltic S.A., an ORLEN Group company, and will see the new vessel—a BMT-designed StratCat 27—delivered to Europe in September of this year.This CTV will join the fleet managed by Miliana Shipmanagement Limited, owned by the LOTOS Petrobaltic capital group, which owns five offshore vessels.

MOL to Supply FSRU for New Polish LNG Import Terminal

Mitsui O.S.K. Baltic Workboats to Build Multipurpose Vessel for Estonia's State Fleet

Baltic Workboats announced it recently signed a contract to design and construct a new multipurpose vessel for scheduled delivery to the Estonian State Fleet in 2026.The new workboat will be deployed for regular buoy tender works, maintenance of waterways, scientific research, pollution monitoring and response and search and rescue missions in Estonian waters.Notably, the vessel will be Estonia’s first 100% alternatively fueled workboat that will use sustainable biomethane as the main fuel.

Peacock Set to Take Over as CEO of The Shipowners’ Club

The Shipowners’ Club, a P&I insurer in the smaller and specialist vessel sector, announced Simon Peacock will take over as CEO in 2023.Current CEO Simon Swallow will be stepping down on May 25, 2023 before starting his retirement on August 3, 2023. The current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Simon Peacock, will be the incoming CEO on May 25, 2023. Marcus Tarrant, currently Director and Chief Actuary of the Club’s management company, will become the Club’s CFO.Swallow joined the Shipowners’ Club in July 1991 and after a spell as Underwriter he assumed the role of Director of Underwriting.

HAL Making 'Good Progress' With Boskalis Takeover Offer

HAL Holding, which on March 10 announced plans to launch a takeover offer for the Dutch marine services and dredging giant Boskalis' all remaining shares, said Thursday it was making good progress with the offer preparation.The company had said in March it planned to launch an all-cash voluntary public offer of €32.50 per share for all issued and outstandingordinary shares of Boskalis. Iceland-based shipping and logistics firm Eimskip has appointed María Björk Einarsdóttir as CFO, to take over from Egill Örn Petersen, who has decided to resign due to personal reasons. Egill Örn Petersen, who has been the CFO of Eimskip since the beginning of 2019, will take another position within the finance department.María Björk Einarsdóttir has, for the last seven years, been the Managing Director of Alma íbúðafélag (previously Almenna leigufélagið) one of the largest real-estate companies in Iceland which she has led from its foundation. Novatek Ships First LNG Cargo to UAE

Russian gas company Novatek has said it has shipped its first LNG Cargo to the United Arab Emirates.Novatek said Friday that the cargo was shipped from the Yamal LNG project by its subsidiary NOVATEK Gas & Power Asia under a spot contract."The LNG cargo was transshipped in Europe onto the conventional LNG tanker “Yamal Spirit” and delivered to the Jebel Ali LNG Terminal in accordance with the contract’s delivery schedule," Novatek said.“With our first shipment to the United Arab Emirates, we are expanding the geography of our LNG supplies,” noted Lev Feodosyev, NOVATEK’s First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.
