Russian Oil Arrives in Cuba After Year-Long Hiatus

Pope Says Impeding Migrant Rescues at Sea is 'Gesture of Hate'

UMAS Says Energy Efficiency Needs to Improve by 40%

New York Offshore Wind Facility Could Create 420 Direct Jobs

Wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa said Monday it planned to build a major offshore nacelle manufacturing facility in New York state. The construction of the plant depends on Siemens Gamesa's wind turbines being selected by the New York authorities in their third offshore wind solicitation. The planned facility would be located at the Port of Coeymans. According to Siemens Gamesa, the facility would create up to about 420 direct jobs, support a significant rise in indirect jobs and represent an investment of around $500 million in the region.

Cuba Tames Mega Port Fire

Massive clouds of steam rose from Cuba's largest fuel depot in Matanzas on Wednesday as firefighters, helicopters and boats poured water and foam on the smoldering remains of the largest fire in the island's history.Black charcoal covered with white ash remained red hot after the flames died down.
