Shipbuilders Council of America Names New Board Leaders

The Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA), the national association representing the U.S. shipbuilding, maintenance and repair industry, announced its new Board of Directors leadership and the incoming chairs of the SCA Partners Committee. Marine Machinery Association Honor Joseph Carnevale

The Marine Machinery Association (MMA) has presented the 2013 Jack Flannigan award to RDML Joseph Carnevale (ret.), Senior Defense Advisor at the Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA), at MMA's 29th Annual Meeting in Newport News, VA. The award is MMA's highest honor and is named after Jack Flannigan who founded MMA in 1984. 29th Annual Marine Machinery Association Meeting

The Marine Machinery Association will hold its 29th Annual Meeting in partnership with Newport News Shipbuilding at the Newport News Marriot, October 7-9, 2013. There Will Be A Reception for Speakers and MMA Members From 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7. The meeting will feature presentations by Matt Mulherin, President of NNS, Hon. John F. Lehman, a former Secretary of the Navy and several flag officers from the Naval Sea Systems Command. Attendees at the Meeting Must Be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents And Employees of Companies Performing Contracts for the U.S. Navy.

Marine Machinery Association to Hold 27th Annual Meeting

The Marine Machinery Association will hold its 27 Annual Meeting at the Sofitel Hotel in Philadelphia on October 4 and 5, 2011. Vice Admiral Kevin McCoy will be the kick-off speaker to be followed by Fred Harris, CEO of NASSCO, and Roy Arnold, CEO of IMECO. Attendees will tour NAVSSES in the afternoon. On the second day there will be a panel of the VPs of Supply Chain Management and Material Acquisition Directors from the major shipyards. Technical presentations fill out the day.
