Updated ECDIS 4.0 Now Available

The latest 4.0 Reference cards for the Type Specific Manufacturers are now available to download. The eMaritime Group have published a three minute video explaining how these non-profit procedure cards work at the above link. Managing Director Mark Broster from ECDIS, which is part of the eMaritime Group, stated,"We appreciate the significant effort and help received from hundreds of shipping companies, manufacturers and OEMs that have supported their production. They are designed to help keep ships stay safe and prepare for 2018 S52 4.0 ECDIS audits and inspections."

ECDIS Ltd. Unveils Vstep Nautis Bridge Simulator

ECDIS Ltd unveil Vstep Nautis Full Mission Bridge Simulator primarily for Bridge Team training but fitted with 4 ECDIS systems. UK based ECDIS training and consultancy company ECDIS Ltd unveiled the simulator at the opening of the facility by MP George Hollingbery in Southampton. The Bridge Simulator is to accompany the six smaller NAUTIS simulators already used for visual channels during the IMO 1.27 Model ECDIS Course. VSTEP are world renowned for their simulator software and have the capability of integrating their system with most ECDIS manufactures using standard NMEA strings as found onboard any vessel. The Bridge Simulator has been setup with two Radars and four ECDIS systems including OSI, Kelvin Hughes, JRC and Transas which are all full integrated.

ECDIS Ltd Install VSTEP NAUTIS

UK based ECDIS training and consultancy company ECDIS Ltd unveiled a VSTEP NAUTIS full mission bridge simulator with a 315° viewing capability. It is to primarily be used for Bridge Team training but has been fitted with 4 different ECDIS systems all integrated with the NAUTIS software. The Simulator was opened last month by MP George Hollingbery in Southampton. The Bridge Simulator is to accompany the six smaller NAUTIS simulators already used for visual channels during the IMO 1.27 Model ECDIS Course.

ECDIS Delivers Training to the Singapore Navy

ECDIS Ltd have delivered an ECDIS Quality Control course to the Singapore Navy in what is hoped to be the start of further cooperation between the two organizations. The ECDIS Ltd Quality Control course is designed for advanced and experienced users of ECDIS who are now in a position of quality controlling the standards of their fleets’ navigation. Opening of ECDIS eNavigation Centre

ECDIS Ltd has opened their new eNavigation Centre at Solent Business Park, where they will deliver their flagship MCA accredited IMO 1.27 Model ECDIS course. “We are delighted to offer our customers the ECDIS training solution at such a convenient location. Solent Business Park offers a great deal of flexibility with road, rail and air links and is well placed for our customer base. The facility will also enable delivery of our Portable ECDIS course as well as the Short ECDIS course and ECS training, so I am really pleased to be opening this new facility”.
