Fugro's Survey Vessel to Run on Methanol as Part of Dutch Push to Lower Emissions in Shipping

Geelen Nominated as Fugro CFO

Dutch-based geo-data specialist Fugro said its supervisory board has nominated Barbara Geelen for appointment as member of the board of management and chief financial officer. She will succeed Paul Verhagen, who is slated to step down as Fugro CFO at the upcoming general meeting of shareholders.Geelen's nomination as member of the board of management in the role of CFO for a period of four years until the general meeting of shareholders in 2025, will be submitted to shareholders for approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be convened on May 12.

Fugro, HC2 Divest Global Marine Group Stake

US-based financial services company HC2 Holdings and the Dutch multinational provider of geo-intelligence Fugro have sold offshore engineering specialist Global Marine Group (GMG) to private equity firm J.F. Lehman & Company for a sum of USD 250 million.HC2 holds 73% of Global Marine Group’s shares, while Fugro holds 23.6% of the shares. Through its ownership of 23.6% in GMG, Fugro will monetize the remainder of its non-core interest in GMG, which is expected to result in proceeds for Fugro of close to USD 40 million.Global Marine Group is made up of the three business units Global Marine, Global Offshore and CWind. The company provides a wide range of engineering services to the oil & gas and wind energy industries.

Fugro Appoints Erik-Jan Bijvank as Group Director

Dutch multinational geo-data specialist Fugro has appointed Erik-Jan Bijvank as Group Director for Europe and Africa.With this latest appointment, Fugro said it completes its new executive leadership team, which was established as of 1 May, consisting of the Board of Management, four regional Group Directors and several functional Group Directors.Erik-Jan Bijvank worked at Stork, a Fluor company, for over 20 years, where he fulfilled several senior management roles both in the Netherlands and the UK. Furgo Taps Heine as New CEO

Dutch offshore services company Fugro NV has appointed longtime employee Mark Heine as its next CEO and Chairman of the Board of Management. He succeeds Øystein Løseth, who has decided to resign after only several months in the role.Heine, who most recently served as director of Fugro's marine division, began his career at Fugro in 2000 as geodesist on various onshore and offshore survey projects. By 2002 he fulfilled several management roles in the survey division with increasing responsibilities. From 2012 he served as regional director Europe-Africa for the survey division.

Fugro’s Heine Joins IMCA Board

The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) has confirmed the appointment of Mark Heine to its governing board. Heine is a senior executive with Fugro.   Heine is a member of the Management Board of Fugro and is the Director of the Marine Division. He has been with Fugro since 2000, and has served, amongst others roles as Director of Marine, Survey & Geotech, and Regional Manager Europe-Africa for the Survey Division. He holds an MSc in Geodetic Engineering from Delft University of Technology.

Fugro Bags Australian Subsea Contract

Fugro has been awarded a contract from INPEX Operations Australia Pty Ltd (INPEX) for subsea services to be executed across the Ichthys facilities in the Timor Sea, located approximately 220 kilometres from the coast of Western Australia. INPEX is Japan’s largest oil and gas exploration and production company. The five year contract encompasses field operations support, inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services and will run for five years, with options to extend. Fugro will provide all services through its office in Perth. The work will be performed under Fugro's QHSE system, which is in accordance with industry leading QHSE and operational standards.
