Crowley Breaks Ground in San Diego for All-electric Tugboat Charging Station

Crowley and the Port of San Diego broke ground for the shoreside charging station designed to provide clean energy for the company’s forth-coming zero-emissions tugboat, eWolf.The charging station is a microgrid charging facility that will allow vessels to recharge quickly while reducing peak loads on the community energy grid. It is equipped with two containerized energy storage systems provided by Corvus Energy. The station is designed to operate on off-peak hours from the community’s energy grid, and it includes a solar power array to support renewable energy use.

Crowley Loads First Cargo at New Eagle LNG Plant

The first cargo of nearly 11,000 gallons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) was loaded at the new Eagle LNG Partners liquefaction facility located near Jacksonville, Fla. Crowley Maritime Corporation’s LNG group loaded the cargo into an ISO tank container and delivered it over the road to the Port of Jacksonville for ocean transport to support customers in Puerto Rico. “With the successful LNG tank container loading at the Eagle LNG Partners’ Maxville Facility, Crowley can offer even more flexible services and sourcing locations to supply customers with LNG as a cleaner, safer fuel source.

Crowley Maritime Corporation's petroleum services group is entering the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) market by acquiring Carib Energy LLC. Crowley’s Otero Named VP

Crowley Maritime Corporation’s liner services division has announced  that Tony Otero has been named vice president of Caribbean services. He will remain domiciled in Crowley’s Jacksonville headquarters, and will continue to report to John Hourihan, who was recently named senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Puerto Rico and Caribbean services. Crowley's Puerto Rico/Caribbean liner services group announced two management appointments on Feb. 9 — Rudy Leming to vice president, marine & terminal operations, and Matt Jackson to vice president, Caribbean Island services. Both will report to John Douglass, senior vice president and general manager, and remain domiciled in Jacksonville. Crowley Announces Management Changes

Crowley Maritime Corporation announced that Matt Jackson has been promoted to vice president of procurement, replacing Mike Lucero who will retire at the end of this year. In his new position, Jackson reports to Susan Rodgers, senior vice president, administration. Jackson is responsible for all materials management and purchasing for the corporation. He also oversees facilities development and travel.
