Norsafe Launches New Fast Rescue and Patrol Boat at Seawork

Norsafe has carried out extensive research and development in the last few years to develop a new range of robust and safe boats for the Military and Professional market. Using the experience gained from the closed cabin 1200 and S1200 in the Munin range, an open version is now ready for sea trials and will be launched at Seawork International on July 3-5 in Southampton, UK. The latest boat has already been tested by Norsafe’s engineers together with user groups representing the coast guard, maritime police, customs and special forces. The overall feedback has been very positive.

Norsafe Bags Another Swedish Coastguard contract

On Wednesday 21st December, Norsafe signed yet another new contract with the Swedish Coast Guard (KBV) to deliver nine new Magnum 750 MKII boats. The boats are specially developed in close cooperation with KBV and are a continuation of seven boats already delivered between 2015 and 2016. “It is hard to imagine a better Christmas present than this”, says Kjell Sørensen, the leader of this area of business at Norsafe. “This shows that Norsafe is recognised as a high quality provider of specialised boats. For many years Norsafe has had a particularly good and fruitful cooperation with KBV. Through this collaboration, Norsafe has developed a fast rescue boat that also meets the KBV’s operational requirements.

Following on it success in the military and professional sector, Norsafe said it will exhibit at Euronaval in Paris Le Bourget, from October 17-21, 2016. “Our business in the military sector is growing year on year and we want to capitalize on this so by exhibiting at Euronaval we can showcase our quality range to buyers from around the world,” said Øystein Schultz Sandberg, Vice President of Sales at Norsafe. US Military Officials Speak About Forward Presence

Leading officials from the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard spoke about operating forward and being partners with global presence at the 2014 Navy League Sea-Air-Space Exposition at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md., April 7. Two extreme AC72 foiling catamarans with wing sails went head-to-head at over 40 knots in San Francisco Bay, California. KBV Orders Another Vessel from Norsafe

On July 2, 2013, Norsafe and the Swedish Coastguard (KBV) signed a frame contract concerning the delivery of their next generation workboats. The total number of boats is undecided but in October Norsafe received the seventh boat order for delivery in 2014 - a contract to deliver the next generation Magnum 750 rescue boats. In 1997, KBV purchased new workboats from Norsafe, and this resulted in the design of Norsafe’s Magnum 750. A Closer Look at Dynamic Navigation for High Speed Craft

FRC International launched the innovative ‘DYNAV’ dynamic navigation system for high speed craft at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden in October. The DYNAV launch event enabled attendees from Scandinavia and Europe to come together with the objective of improving seafarer safety, operational performance and interoperability on fast craft. Reduced Government Rates for HiPer Craft WBV Manager Course

FRC International is running the first WBV Manager course in the U.S. on 18th June at HiPer Craft 2013 in Norfolk Va. Due to the continuing restrictions on Defense Department budgets, FRC International is offering reduced-rate registration for the WBV Manager course at HiPer Craft. The reduced-rate registration is $200 for all active duty military and civilian government employees (non-contractor civilian and military). The standard course fee is $400 per person. Attendees also receive free admission to all three days of HiPer Craft.

FRC WBV Manager Course at HiPer Craft

FRC International will run WBV Manager at HiPer Craft 2013. The WBV (Whole Body Vibration) awareness course is part of the professional program organized by ASNE (American Society of Naval Engineers) in Norfolk Virginia from June 18 to 20. WBV Manager is a one day workshop that covers the latest international technology and methods for improving high speed craft operations. It is recognized for six PDH (Professional Development Hours) by ASNE and course attendees will receive The Nautical Institute certificate.
