Kongsberg Digital Enters K-Sim Connect Partnership with Mintra

Kongsberg Digital (KDI) revealed it has entered into a partnership with digital learning and human capital management software specialist Mintra. The contract enables KDI to provide Mintra with its K-Sim Connect simulations as cloud-based subscription applications for use with the Trainingportal learning and competency management system.In addition to accommodating KDI’s cloud-based simulation as a fundamental facet of its own courses, Mintra will be reselling K-Sim Connect subscriptions through its Marketplace, which is an online platform for buying and selling training.

Norwegian maritime and offshore training software firm Mintra said it has appointed Kevin Short as CEO. Short, who has been chief commercial officer since 2018, takes over the leadership role from Scott Kerr following his decision to join the firm’s board of directors.“In these post-Covid times and as we slowly return to a world that can be considered more normal, there are tremendous prospects for both digital learning and human capital management software. We know that how things worked before – people constantly travelling to training facilities – will not be the same going forward.

Mintra Group Acquires Atlas Knowledge

The HR, competence and training specialist Mintra Group said it has acquired Aberdeen headquartered learning technology services firm Atlas Knowledge.The move will bring both Aberdeen operations together to offer learning and competency systems and services to customers in the oil and gas, maritime, aviation, construction and energy sectors.With a turnover of around £15 million, Mintra employs more than 100 people globally and is backed by investor The Riverside Company. Mintra Launches OCS HR as a Cloud Service

Already with a solid foothold within the Norwegian maritime sector, OCS HR has now been launched by Mintra Group as a cloud-based service (SaaS – Software as a Service). This means new advantages for customers and makes the software solution immediately available internationally to other key sectors. Mintra Lands Training Management Contract with EnQuest

Mintra Training Portal Limited, a provider of learning and competency solutions for the oil and gas industry has secured a contract to deliver training management services to EnQuest’s U.K. employees. The three year deal will see Mintra deliver practical, e-learning and classroom training for over 200 industry-critical courses to the operator’s onshore and offshore workforce across the U.K. Continental Shelf. Managing director Peter Conner said, “We deliver over 500,000 industry courses for up to 300 oil and gas companies every year.

Scotland Energy Minister Opens Oil & Gas Learning Center

Fergus Ewing, the Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism opened a new learning center this week which makes practical, classroom and eLearning training available to the regions North Sea oil and gas industry for the first time. The 3,800sqft Mintra Learning Center at Kingseat Business Park, Newmachar, has capacity to train up to 65 people per day across more than 200 industry-critical courses.
