Dutch offshore self-elevating platform and services provider Jack-Up Barge BV believes innovative and cost-efficient solutions are needed now more than ever across the offshore oil and gas and renewables businesses.The current market faces challenges, from the COVID-19 pandemic and low oil prices to wind farms that have spiraled in size from 2-3 MW turbines to 12 MW turbines in just a few years. ABS Awards AIP to HHI’s Standardized FPSO Topside

Hallin Marine's Windermere Active in Indonesia

Hallin Marine, a Superior Energy Services company, has announced that its SOV Windermere subsea operations vessel is providing offshore support services in the Maleo gas field off Madura, East Java. Operating on behalf of a major Indonesian oil company, the Windermere is engaged in a wide range of testing and platform support operations. These include repair and maintenance of subsea gussets, underwater welding of gusset plates and grouting work on mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) legs. A central element of the project is the Windermere's integral 15-man saturating diving facility.

Topaz Delivers $75M Oil & Gas Project

Topaz Energy and Marine announced the project delivery of the deck structure of a Mobile Offshore Production Unit and storage (MOPUstor). The MOPUstor deck was constructed by Topaz Fabrication and Construction; part of the Topaz Engineering division under a subcontract from Single Buoy Moorings Inc for its client, Talisman Energy Norge AS. The value of Topaz Engineering’s portion of the work was $75m. Topaz’s scope of work was fabrication and construction of the hull and topsides of the MOPU, project completion took more than two years with the workforce peaking at 1,400 men.

Renaissance Subsidiary Awarded Oil & Gas Contract

Renaissance announced that its Abu Dhabi based oil & gas subsidiary Adyard LLC was recently awarded a $35m contract by Single Buoy Moorings Inc. The contract is for the fabrication of a Mobile Offshore Production Unit for to be located on the YME Field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The contract entails the fabrication and load out of the Hull, Topsides and related works. The process equipment will be fabricated in modules and installed on the hull at the Adyard jetty. Transocean Expects Steady Improvement Through 2001

Transocean Sedco Forex is a leading international provider of deepwater and harsh environment contract drilling services for oil and gas wells. The company’s active fleet consists of 12 high-specification semisubmersibles, 29 second- and third-generation semisubmersibles, two Discoverer Enterprise-class drillships, four other drillships, 17 jackup rigs and three tenders. The company has under construction one Discoverer Enterprise-class drillship and three Sedco Express- class semisubmersibles. In addition, the fleet includes one mobile offshore production unit, six swamp barges and two land drilling rigs. Oceaneering To Provide Offshore Unit

Oceaneering International has been awarded a contract to provide a mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) for development of the Legendre North and South oil fields in WA-1-P on the Northwest Shelf of Western Australia. Participating companies in Legendre fields are Woodside Energy, Apache Northwest and Santos Limited, with Oceaneering converting its jackup Marine 7 to serve as the Legendre MOPU. The contract is a dayrate services agreement with a primary term of three years. With production predicted to commence by mid-2001, Oceaneering expects to accumulate incremental earnings of $.30 per share annually during this primary contract term. The company plans to fund the estimated capital cost of $80 million through cash flow from operations and its existing revolving credit facility.
