DOF Bags Shell’s Decommissioning Contract for Knarr and Gaupe Fields

Norwegian offshore vessel operator DOF Group has secured a ‘substantial’ subsea engineering procurement removal and disposal (EPRD) contract from Norske Shell in the Atlantic region.The contract outlines 100 combined days of utilization of DOF’s vessels Skandi Hera and Maersk Installer.DOF will deliver an integrated solution of project management, engineering, design, analysis and survey.Described as ‘substantial’ by DOF, this means that the contract is valued between $23.8 million and $47.8 million (NOK 250 million to NOK 500 million).The scope includes recovery and recycling of umbilicals…

DOF Secures Three Service Contracts with Petrobras Worth Over $260M

Norwegian offshore support vessel firm DOF said Monday it had won three new service contracts with the Brazilian oil firm Petrobras."The contracts were originated by a competitive bid process won by DOF and include work within our core service lines for Survey and Inspection," DOF said.These contracts represent a continuation of the services handled by DOF on the PIDF123 contracts signed with Petrobras in 2020 and under operation since December of that year.According to DOF, at least three vessels will be deployed to perform flexible pipeline, risers, and subsea equipment inspection in Campos Basin, Santos Basin, and Espírito Santos Basin. More than 3,200 inspections are expected to be executed.DOF did not say which vessel exactly would be deployed for these projects.

DOF Awarded Subsea Work off West Africa

Norway-based DOF Group on Monday announced it has been awarded a contract for one of its vessels offshore West Africa.The deal will see DOF's construction support vessel (CSV) Skandi Acergy support operations to install subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) for an unnamed "tier 1 contractor and operator" in West Africa, DOF said. The 156.9-meter-long vessel was built in 2008.DOF labeled the contract as "significant", worth between $80 million and $100 million. DOF Subsea's Flagship Vessel Wins More Work

Norwegian subsea services company DOF Subsea has secured more work for its Skandi Africa vessel.The client, which DOF Subsea did not name, has exercised an extension option for the subsea service vessel, with the new commitment now running until February 2025.DOF Subsea CEO, Mons S. Aase, said: "Skandi Africa is the most sophisticated vessel in our fleet, and we are looking forward to continuing the journey, delivering successful installation campaigns.”Skandi Africa is designed for harsh environments, deepwater subsea construction, and flexlay operations. DOF Subsea Bags Three-year MPSV Charter with Exxon in Australia

ExxonMobil has awarded a long-term contract to offshore vessel owner DOF Subsea for the provisions of multi-purpose supply vessel services in Australia.The contract is for three years firm plus two one-year extension options. Under the contract, DOF will provide an MPSV to Esso Australia, an Australian Subsidiary of ExxonMobil."Preparatory support services associated with the contract are underway with the delivery of the vessel to follow later in 2022," DOF said.Mons S. DOF's Norskan Clinches AHTS Deals with Petrobras

Norwegian offshore support vessel firm DOF said this week its Brazilian subsidiary Norskan had secured a new long-term contract and extended another one with the Brazilian oil company Petrobras.Anchor handler Skandi Botafogo has been awarded a 3-year contract with Petrobras to operate as AHTS with a startup in the fourth quarter of 2021 and 500 optional days to be mutually agreed.Skandi Amazonas AHTS has been awarded a 1-year extension on a contract with Petrobras until September 2022.Mons S.

Petrobras Awards Long-Term Mero Deal to DOF's Skandi Salvador Vessel

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has won a contract with the Petrobras-led Libra consortium to provide a multi-purpose support vessel for work at the Mero offshore oil field in Brazil.The Libra Consortium is led by Petrobras - with a 40% interest - in partnership with Shell Brasil (20%) ; Total (20%), CNODC (10%) and CNOOC Limited (10%). The contract for DOF is for three years, and DOF will deploy its Skandi Salvador vessel that will operate 2 x WROV for 24 hours providing inspection, maintenance, and subsea commissioning services in water depths of up to 2,500m, including shallow dive services with Oceânica. DOF Wins AHTS Contracts in NZ

Norwegian offshore supply vessel (OSV) operator DOF has won work for two anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) contracts to support OMV's drilling operations in New Zealand.Two  AHTS vessels, Skandi Emerald and Skandi Atlantic, have been contracted to support drilling rig COSL Prospector for two wells firm plus two options for additional wells.Both vessels are currently supporting the same rig with another Operator in New Zealand, and commencement with OMV will be on completion of this campaign during Q4 2019.Mons S. DOF Bags Three ROV Contracts in Brazil

Norwegian supply shipping company DOF Subsea has been awarded contracts for three remotely operated (ROV) Support Vessels (RSV) with Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras).All contracts have a firm duration of three years and can be extended for another two years, informed the offshore support vessel owner.The vessels allocated for the contracts are Skandi Commander, Skandi Olympia and Skandi Chieftain, all owned by DOF Rederi AS (100 % owned by DOF ASA).Each vessel will be equipped with two state of the art work class ROVs owned and operated by DOF Subsea Group. All three contracts are expected to commence in 2nd quarter 2019. Estimated total firm contract value is NOK 1,3 billion. Skandi Olympia (built 2009) has been on charter with Fugro since her delivery in 2009.

PLSV Skandi Búzios Begins Work off Brazil

Skandi Búzios, a pipelay support vessel (PLSV) owned 50/50 by a joint venture formed between TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea, has commenced an eight-year charter contract with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), as scheduled on April 13, 2017. Skandi Búzios is the sister ship of the Skandi Açu, which started its charter contract on August 13, 2016. These two vessels each have 650 tons flexible pipelay tension capacity, enabling the installation of large diameter flexible pipes in the ultra-deepwater Brazilian pre-salt area.

The DOF Group said a Norwegian limited company not owned by DOF has signed an agreement with Olympic Shipping to purchase two vessels, Olympic Commander and Olympic Hera. DOF and the new owner have entered into an agreement for management and operation of the two vessels, and DOF has an option to purchase the vessels at a price corresponding to the outstanding debt or approximately 50-60 percent of historical build costs. DOF Subsea wins three year IMR agreement

In Asia Pacific, DOF Subsea has been awarded a 3-year IMR frame agreement with one of the major oil and gas companies in the region. DOF Subsea has recently secured a Safety Case for Geoholm, and the vessel will be available in the Asia Pacific region from the beginning of Q2 2017. In a statement, CEO Mons S. Aase said, "I am very pleased with the performance of the team in Perth. Mons added: "Including Geoholm, we will have 5 advanced subsea vessels in the region, with an average age of 6 years. Our subsea fleet in the Asia Pacific region is well diversified and well suited for projects within all our operating segments: IMR, survey, diving, mooring and construction". Last week, DOF's subsidiary Norskan Offshore Ltda was awarded a 1+1 year contract with Petrobras for Skandi Botafogo.

PLSV Delivered to TechDof Brasil

DOF Subsea and Technip, through 50/50 owned affiliate TechDof Brasil AS, have taken final delivery of the pipe-lay support vessel (PLSV) Skandi Açu. The vessel commenced as per commitment on August 13, 2016 its eight-year charter contract with Petrobras. DOF Awarded IMR, Subsea Installation Work

DOF and DOF Subsea have been awarded several IMR and subsea installation contracts in the Asia Pacific and Atlantic regions, with a total contract value of approximately NOK 270 million (about $23.8 million USD). The contracts will secure utilization of the subsea project fleet in the regions. In Asia Pacific, OMV New Zealand has awarded DOF Subsea an IMR contract, where the scope of work includes inspection and work on eight mooring lines on the Maari field’s FPSO, Raroa, offshore New Zealand.

DOF Sells Five Ships in Brazil

DOF’s subsidiary Norskan Offshore in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has entered an agreement to sell five ships operating in Brazil. The ships included in the agreement are Skandi Copacabana, UT 722 L, built 2005; Skandi Leblon, UT 755 L, built  2004; Skandi Flamengo, UT 755 L, built  2003; Skandi Yare, UT 755, built 2001 and Skandi Stolmen, UT 755, built 1997. The buyers are companies owned by a Brazilian Private Equity Fund managed by Mantiq Investimentos and Mare Investimentos, based in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Norskan Offshore Ltda.

DOF Subsea Group has secured multiple contract awards with a total contract value of about US$ 130-million. In the North Sea region DOF Subsea has secured multiple contracts. The contracts have been agreed with key clients in UK and Norway. The scopes comprise installation of mooring system and flexible flowline systems, construction support, survey and inspection work and will be executed with the vessels Skandi Skolten, Geosund, Geoholm and the new built Skandi Bergen. The engineering will be done at DOF Subsea's offices in Aberdeen and Bergen.

DOF Subsea Announces Several Contracts

Bergen, Norway – May 21 – DOF Subsea has been awarded several contracts totaling approximately NOK 475 million, including orders for work in Asia Pacific, North Sea and North America. DOF Subsea reported a range of contracts in what it calls the Atlantic region. Maersk Oil UK contracted DOF Subsea to perform removal and replacement with related survey work for the Dumbarton Drill Cluster Centre (DCC) flexible production riser at the Global Producer 3 FPSO located in the U.K. sector North Sea. The work, secures utilization for chartered-in vessel Normand Reach. Additionally, Statoil awarded DOF subsea a call-off under an existing survey frame agreement for MBE and AUV survey services in the North Sea.
