Tech File: ASRY Moving to Infor's Cloud-based Digital Transformation Platform

ASRY (Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard) signed a representation agreement with AMS to exclusively market ASRY’s products, services and facilities to the Singapore and Hong Kong shipping market, part of ASRY’s new management’s strategic re-alignment of its international agent’s network following the takeover of the National Oil and Gas Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain (NOGA) of Bahrain’s shares in the company last year.AMS has a network of four offices in Asia.

Bahrain's First LNG Terminal Ready for Business

Bahrain expected to start LNG imports early this year; FSU on 20-year time charter to Bahrain LNG arrives in the GulfBahrain's first liquefied natural gas (LNG) floating unit arrived in the Gulf this week as the country gets ready for its maiden imports of the super-chilled fuel this year, data from Refinitiv Eikon showed.Bahrain Spirit, a floating storage unit (FSU) with a capacity of about 173,000 cubic meters, is currently anchored in Fujairah after docking in the United Arab Emirates region on Jan. 13, the data showed.The FSU is on a 20-year charter to Bahrain LNG, who is the developer of a wider receiving and regasification terminal within the Khalifa bin Salman Port facility…

Nogaholding Secures $741 mln Loan for LNG Terminal

Nogaholding, the investment and business development arm of Bahrain’s National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), recently hosted a dinner to mark the financial close of its LNG Terminal Project with Bahrain LNG WLL, the developer and owner of the first LNG receiving and regasification terminal to be developed on a public–private partnership (PPP) basis in the Middle East. Dr Dafer Al Jalahma, CEO of nogaholding, said: "Led by K-SURE, this well-structured LNG regasification terminal transaction attracted high quality project finance lending of $741 million for a tenor of 20 years. Bahrain Set to Award $400mln Floating LNG Contract

The Bahrain National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) will award a $400 million Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal contract next month, Energy Minister Abdulhussain Mirza told local media this week. The LNG terminal will be constructed near Khalifa Bin Salman Port, on Bahrain’s northeast shore. Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza said it would be operational by early 2018 and would receive deliveries of LNG by ships. Dr Mirza confirmed that his company is going to award the contract for constructing a floating terminal in the sea to receive LNG next month, according to a report in Gulf Daily News. The $400m dollar (LNG) project is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2018.

Offshore Oil Exploration to Start Early 2009

Minister of Oil and Gas Affairs and Head of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) of Bahrain Dr. Abdulhussein Bin Ali Mirza has said that exploration and drilling for oil in the offshore areas would start by early 2009; he added that 2008 would be spent studying the areas geologically and geophysically.
