NASSTRAC Sets Agenda for 2013 Conference Expo

The National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council, NASSTRAC, announces agenda for 2013 Shippers Conference & Transportation Expo. This event, which is developed specifically for the education and networking needs of transportation and supply chain executives with manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers and distributors, will take place April 21-24, 2013 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando. This year's conference will feature more than 25 educational sessions that cover relevant topics on transportation that range from economic freight indicators and perspectives of carrier challenges from CEOs in all modes to advocacy issues such as hours of service and CSA.

New Education Committee Chairwoman for NASSTRAC

The National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council (NASSTRAC) names Candace Holowwicki as committee chairwoman. NASSTRAC provides education, advocacy, and provider relations for professionals involved in all modes of transportation. Ms.Holowicki’s primary responsibilities will include leading the planning and execution of the NASSTRAC Shippers Conference & Transportation Expo, which will take place April 21-24, 2013, in Orlando. Ms. Holowicki, who has nearly 20 years experience in the transportation industry, is currently director of global logistics at TriMas Corp., a manufacturer and distributor near Detroit, Mich. She has served on NASSTRAC’s education committee since 2009, and also currently serves on its executive committee.

Cutrona, Former Director of NASSTRAC, Passes

Joseph F. H. Cutrona, former executive director of NASSTRAC (the National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council) from 1978-1998, died Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2010 at his home in Naples, Fla. NASSTRAC provides education, advocacy, connections and solutions for professionals involved in all areas of transportation, ranging from full truckload and LTL to containerization and global logistics. Prior to joining the management team of NASSTRAC, Cutrona attended West Point and became a career Army officer serving in World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam, where he was the Chief Information Officer before retiring as a Brigadier General.
