Radio Holland Renews MSA with Jumbo

NES to Deliver More 'Concept' Solutions to Esvagt

Norwegian Electric Systems (NES) has signed a contract for the delivery of a further three equipment packages with IAS/PMS and NavCom to Esvagt, a pioneer in offshore wind.This will be vessels number eight, nine and ten delivered to Esvagt, where NES will deliver the same integrated automation system (IAS) and navigation and communication package with Concept Bridge as those delivered for the other windfarm service vessels.The contract is worth $2.35 million.Good conceptThe first equipment package with engineering is scheduled for delivery in March 2020.

EemsWerken Concludes Radio Holland Contract

Dutch shipping company Eemswerken (Werkendam) has concluded its service contracts with Radio Holland Netherlands, covering its entire fleet of cargo vessels.Radio Holland Netherlands was founded in 1916 by a number of leading Dutch shipping companies with the purpose of installing, maintaining and operating maritime radio stations.The service contracts include the SOLAS annual surveys, special regional service rates and on-demand services of the Navigation and Communication equipment on board, around the world. Radio Holland to Renew IT Infrastructure for Jack-Up Barge

Recently, Radio Holland received the order to renew the complete IT infrastructure for the JB-115 barge of Jack-Up Barge. The order includes design, installation and commissioning of an IT network. Radio Holland Books Six-Ship Order From Royal Bodewes

Radio Holland Netherlands has received an order for a full Nav/Com package for six vessels being built at Royal Bodewes in Hoogezand, highlighting longstanding relationships, both with Royal Bodewes and manufacturer Furuno. The FURUNO FAR-22x8/23x8 series is characterised by its state-of-the-art antenna design and innovative signal processing techniques. Marlink Acquires Radio Holland's Connectivity Business

Marlink and Radio Holland have concluded a partnership agreement whereby Marlink has acquired Radio Holland’s connectivity business. According to the partners, the deal strengthens Marlink’s position in maritime VSAT, while Radio Holland will be the preferred global sales and service partner offering Marlink’s satcom connectivity portfolio in combination with its maritime electronics solutions. Furthermore, Radio Holland and the Marlink Group, including Telemar, will intensify their existing cooperation in NavCom sales and servicing.

Radio Holland  Malaysia (RHM) secured a contract from Destini Shipbuilding & Engineering for the supply of Navigation and Communication equipment on board of six New Generation Patrol Crafts (NGPC). The vessels are being built for the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA). The scope of work encompasses detailed design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Navigation and Communication equipment including the Steering System and Thermal Cameras. The vessels will play an important role in maritime search and rescue operations.

Radio Holland Group (Rotterdam) celebrated its 100th anniversary in the maritime shipping industry. The event took place on board of the historical ship ss Rotterdam, in the port of Rotterdam where Radio Holland also has its headquarters. Paul Smulders, CEO of Radio Holland, welcomed the Mayor of Rotterdam, Ing. A. Aboutaleb and presented the Mayor with the first edition of the book ‘A century Radio Holland, 1916-2016’. Radio Holland, Thome Ship Management Ink SRA Deal for 200 vessels

Thome Ship Management Pte Ltd and Radio Holland Singapore have concluded a Service Rate Agreement (SRA) covering the NavCom service and maintenance needs of its entire fleet of more than 200 vessels. Headquartered in Singapore, Thome Ship Management has worked together with Radio Holland for many years. The two companies have now taken a next step to a new format of cooperation with the SRA, which includes everything from annual radio surveys to servicing bridge equipment, to the delivery of spare parts and on-the-spot troubleshooting. CNCo Orders Remote Monitoring for 35 Vessels

Radio Holland, a global NavCom and service company in the maritime industry, said it has concluded  a maintenance and remote monitoring agreement with The China Navigation Company (CNCo) for 35 vessels. Radio Holland already provides CNCo’s newbuild, multipurpose vessels and bulk carriers with NavCom packages, and the latest agreement now covers the maintenance of this equipment on board 35 vessels. This further cooperation follows a remote monitoring pilot project. Radio Holland will now introduce remote monitoring throughout CNCo’s fleet.

INTERSCHALT Expands South American Network

INTERSCHALT maritime systems GmbH, a provider of services for communications, navigation and bridge equipment and the maker of voyage data recorder systems, has expanded its service network in South America through the addition of ITEC Electronica Maritima S.A.S, Colombia, and Telnav Telecomunicacoes Navais, Macaé, Brazil. As authorized service partners, ITEC and Telnav Telecom will from now on perform the installation, commissioning, retrofitting and maintenance of INTERSCHALT VDR systems as well as conduct annual VDR performance tests (APT) in accordance with IMO regulations.

INTERSCHALT Shuffles Executive Management

INTERSCHALT maritime systems GmbH, a provider of maritime software for cargo operations and fleet management, NavCom services and manufacturer of VDR systems, announced a change in the company’s executive management today. This follows Cargotec Corporation’s acquisition of INTERSCHALT in January 2016. Robert Gärtner, who has served as CEO of INTERSCHALT since 2006, stepped down from his position on June 20 to pursue other opportunities. Two managing directors have now been appointed: Benoit de la Tour, President of Navis, and Rainer Twisterling, former Vice President Services at INTERSCHALT. In his additional role at INTERSCHALT, de la Tour will lead the integration of the company’s software business into Navis, part of Cargotec.

Norwegian marine geophysical company PGS has extended its non-exclusive service agreement with Radio Holland for navigation and communication services onboard nine seismic vessels in its global fleet. Danelec Wins VDR Orders in China and Taiwan

Capturing 32 orders for its new-generation DM100 Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs), Danelec Marine’s recent orders were taken by its distributors in China and Taiwan and include 15 new pure car and truck carriers under construction at Yangfan shipyard and 17 retrofits for Yang Ming containerships. Yang Ming is upgrading its fleet to replace the existing VDRs with new technology and selected the DM100 VDRs due to their application-specific design and advanced features such as SoftWare Advanced Protection (SWAP) for faster and easier servicing and repairs. The Yang Ming installations are being made by Danelec’s service partner Navcom Electronics International Co. Ltd.

Smulders Appointed CEO of Radio Holland

Paul Smulders has been appointed CEO of Radio Holland, part of the RH Marine Group (formerly Imtech Marine). Smulders returns to Radio Holland where he started his career ashore in 1989 as sales engineer deepsea, after a career at sea as nautical officer. From 1993 on he fulfilled various positions, such as sales manager for the Radio Holland Hong Kong sales activities in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and in the Netherlands as Area Sales Manager and Managing Director of Radio Holland Netherlands.

Radio Holland NavCom, VSAT for 4 Newbuilds

NavCom and On Board ICT specialist Radio Holland informs it has booked multiple orders in a challenging newbuild market. The company was awarded contracts to deliver and install the complete NavCom and VSAT packages for four newbuild vessels: two of the Meriaura Group and two of Eureka, part of SMT Shipping, all built at Royal Bodewes in Hoogezand, The Netherlands. “We have completed many successful projects with Radio Holland and are happy to work with them on these four new vessels,” said Johan Schouwenaar from Royal Bodewes.

Radio Holland Installs NavCom Equipment on US Training Ship

Radio Holland, part of the newly formed company RH Marine Group, has recently completed the installation of new radar and ECDIS equipment on the bridge of TS Golden Bear, the training ship of the California Maritime Academy. Radio Holland was awarded an initial contract from The United States Maritime Administration (MARAD) in March for replacing the gyroscopes and gyrocompass repeaters. Radio Holland then successfully tendered for a second MARAD contract for the radars and ECDIS in June.

Imtech Marine was awarded the three-year DNV GL global certification renewal in February 2015. It concerns Inspection and Testing of Radio Communication equipment, Automatic Identification Systems and testing and inspection of Voyage Data Recorders (VDR). Radio Holland, Imtech Marine’s NavCom and Maintenance brand, started the already long-standing relationship with both DNV and GL, which continued when Radio Holland became part of Imtech Marine. INTERSCHALT VDR Earns CCS Certification

INTERSCHALT maritime systems AG, the provider of maritime software, services and systems for navigation and communications systems (NavCom) and manufacturer of Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) systems, announced that its new generation VDR G4[e] has been type approved by the China Classification Society (CCS), effective July 1, 2015. By granting the type approval, CCS certifies that the VDR G4[e] complies with the international regulations and performance standards of IMO Resolution MSC.333(90). The VDR G4[e] has also been approved by the German federal authority BSH.

Interschalt Expands Network in China

Interschalt  maritime systems AG, a provider of maritime software and services for navigation and communication equipment (NavCom), as well as the manufacturer of the Voyage Data Recorder (VDR 4G[e] and S-VDR), has expanded its Asian service network by designating Seven Seas Electronic Co. Ltd as its preferred service partner in China. Seven Seas Electronic Co. Ltd will be responsible for installing, commissioning, retrofitting and maintaining VDR G4[e], S-VDR, and MER-(s)-VDR systems, and for carrying out the annual VDR performance tests (APT) in line with IMO regulations. On behalf of Interschalt , the company will also take over a wide range of maintenance work on navigation and communication equipment for the Chinese market.

Imtech Marine Becomes RH Marine Group

The new RH Marine Group, formerly known as Imtech Marine was introduced at the Europort exhibition in Rotterdam today. Following the recent acquisition by Parcom Capital and Pon Holdings, Imtech Marine will now be known as RH Marine Group, built on the roots of founding companies Radio Holland and van Rietschoten & Houwens. The two ‘pillars’ for service and newbuild activities within Imtech Marine are also involved in the new naming structure. Global NavCom, Connectivity, On Board ICT service and maintenance brand Radio Holland will keep its name but will have a new logo.

Radio Holland Awarded Remote Monitoring Agreement

Radio Holland, part of the newly formed company RH Marine Group, has been awarded a Remote Monitoring Agreement from The China Navigation Company (CNCo).
