The event was attended by the CEO of the Owner, Anne Jorunn Møkster, accompanied by other members of the Management of the Ship-Owner company; as well as representatives from the Shipyard and Main Suppliers. At high tide today at Gondan Shipyard in Figueras, the New PSV (TBN) for the Norwegian Ship-Owner, Simon Møkster Shipping, was launched. Different personalities related to the sector have attended the ceremony as well as authorities from the Ministry of Industry. In addition, the event was attended by the CEO of the Owner, Anne Jorunn Møkster, accompanied by other members of the Management of the Ship-Owner company. Havila Shipping Orders New PSV

Havila Shipping ASA has entered into a contract with Solstrand Verft for building of a new platform supply vessel (PSV) called Havyard 832 CD. The vessel is developed by Havyard Maritime in close cooperation with Havila Shipping ASA. The vessel has a length of 262 ft. In order to meet environmental and comfort demands in the future the vessel has; clean design class, catalysers, and DP 2. Delivery of the vessel will be during summer 2009.

Garware Offshore Receives New PSV

Garware Offshore Services Ltd announced that it has taken delivery of a newbuild PSV, Kamet, which was built by Havyard Leirvik in Norway. The vessel, which is a UT 755L with clean notation, DP1 and FiFi1 left Norway recently and is due in India by the third week of June 2007. Dual-fuel PSV Chartered Before It's On the Stocks

Siem Offshore Rederi contracts with TOTAL for the long-term charter of its newbuild PSV from delivery in 2014. The contract with TOTAL E&P NORGE AS is for a new dual fuelled large platform supply vessel (PSV). The new PSV is to be operated from 2014 and will serve the Martin Linge field in the North Sea North-West of Stavanger. This is the first long-term PSV contract Siem Offshore holds with TOTAL in the Norwegian sector. The agreement is made at market terms and is for an initial period of four years, with four one-year options. The contract will commence between May and August 2014. The ship is designed in collaboration with Wärtsilä Ship Design, and will have a dual fuel system for the use of either LNG or Marine Diesel Oil.

Integrated Bridge for Malaysian built PSV

Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore Pte Ltd. has been awarded a contract about the supply of an Integrated Bridge and Navigation System to a new Platform Supply Ship (PSV) built at Nam Cheong Dockyard of Malaysia. The delivery will take place Q3 2012. The 79 meters long, DNV classed vessel will be equipped with a Raytheon Anschütz Integrated Bridge System, projected and supplied by Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore. Jan Lötzsch, Managing Director of Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore, says: “At Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore we have built up excellence in tailoring solutions to the particular needs of Asian shipbuilding, from standard navigation systems to advanced configurations.

Wärtsilä Debuts PSV Design at Nor-Shipping

The new Wartsila PSV design features lower fuel consumption and notable improvements over existing designs

With new rules and regulations affecting the platform supply vessel (PSV) market, Wärtsilä is launching a new PSV ship design at this year's Nor-Shipping exhibition being held in Oslo from June 2-5. The new design puts emphasis on increased cost efficiency, innovation and reducing environmental risk, Wärtsilä said. According to Wärtsilä, the design enables lower fuel consumption, with design improvements including an efficient energy system with batteries, and optimized hull lines with high propeller efficiency.

PG-MACS Chosen by Shell and Siem for Newbuild PSV

Siem Offshore and Norske Shell signed a contract for a new dual fueled (LNG/Diesel) large-size platform supply vessel (PSV). Remontowa Shipyard /Poland will construct the vessel as their H/N 856/1.The new PSV shall commence operations in Q1/'15 for operations in the North Sea, to support offshore activities at, among others, the Draugen and Ormen Lange oil and gas fields. The under deck tank configuration shall include systems for handling of drill cuttings, in addition to liquid and dry bulk.

Damen Shipyards will unveil its new Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) at EUROPORT 2011 and will launch a complete PSV range in the next few months. The PSV 3300 E3 is a dedicated supply vessel to transport supplies to oil and gas rigs and is specifically designed to perform safely in adverse weather conditions. The first two vessels will be built at the renowned Damen shipyard in Galati, Romania. Delivery is scheduled for early 2013. Damen’s new vessel series will range from the smallest PSV of 1,500 dwt to the largest of approximately 6,500 dwt.

Damen Completes PSV Order for World Wide Supply

The official christening of the World Sapphire marks the completion of a six-ship order whereby Damen Shipyards has delivered six Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) to Norwegian company World Wide Supply (WWS) AS in just six months. The Damen PSV 3300 features a radical design rethink, with a wave piercing bow, slender hull lines and diesel electric propulsion with azimuth stern drives, combining to optimize seakeeping and fuel efficiency. The 80.1 m, 1,500-metric-ton deck capacity vessel also has DP2 capability.

Third Damen PSV Delivered to World Wide Supply

Damen Shipyards Galati has handed over the third Platform Supply Vessel in a series of six to World Wide Supply of Norway. This six-ship order heralds a new era in offshore construction for Damen Shipyards Group. World Pearl is built to Damen’s entirely new PSV 3300 design. The first of the Class PSV 3300, World Diamond, was delivered in July to the Norwegian company. “Delivery of the first PSV 3300 represents a new era in Damen’s continuing offshore supply vessel story,” said Arnout Damen commenting at the time of the first delivery.

Singapore's Jaya Delivers New Deepwater PSV

Jaya Holdings Limited say that the new PSV was delivered on schedule and on delivery went on-hire immediately, embarking on its maiden voyage as part of a long term charter contract in South East Asia with an existing customer undertaking fracturing work. Jaya Valour is one of the four PSVs in Jaya’s new build program, of which three have already secured contracts for charter. The total value of these three contracts is more than US$60 million, including optional extension periods.

Troms Offshore Fixes Statoil Charter

Troms Offshore has entered into a Letter of Intent with STX OSV who in turn have nominated STX OSV Aukra to build a PSV 07 design ship to service the charter with Statoil. The ship will be delivered from STX OSV Aukra shortly before or shortly after year end 2013. PSV 07 is a new innovative design developed by STX OSV and is a larger version of the well proven PSV 09 design. The vessel will be a Clean Design environmentally friendly diesel-electric ship with focus on low fuel consumption and low emission of greenhouse gases.

Siemens to Power PSV Pair

Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., has awarded the Siemens Division Industry Solutions a multimillion Euro contract to equip two platform supply vessels (PSV) with a diesel electric propulsion system. The ships are being constructed by Tidewater Marine LLC, a Tidewater Inc. subsidiary. They are slated for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2012 and the second quarter of 2013 respectively. Siemens will outfit two new PSV of Tidewater Inc. with a Bluedrive multi-drive low-voltagepropulsion system. It is designed to improve reliability due to failsafe features that will help the vessel owner lower maintenance costs, increase efficiency and operational ease for the vessel and crew.

Wärtsilä has received an order for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs). Norwegian operator Eidesvik Offshore has placed an order for its fifth gas PSV. All Eidesvik's gas PSVs, including this latest order, are designed by Wärtsilä and utilize Wärtsilä's unique dual-fuel technology. In addition to the complete design of the vessel, Wärtsilä's scope of supply for the new PSV includes the dual-fuel main engines and generating sets, the electrical power and propulsion system, integrated automation, and the power management system.

Seabulk Contracts for PSV in Brazil

Seabulk International's wholly- owned subsidiary, Seabulk Offshore do Brasil, Ltda., has finalized an agreement with shipbuilder Promar Brazil (Estaleiro Promara I) to build a UT-755L platform supply vessel (PSV) for delivery in the fall of 2004, with an option for a second sister ship. To be named Seabulk Brasil, the 5,460-hp, 236-ft. (71.9-m) newbuild has a purchase price of $16.7 million, and upon delivery, will enter the Brazilian offshore market, where the Company currently has one 200-ft. PSV operating. The Company has also agreed to purchase a Brazilian-flag line-handling vessel for approximately $2.5 million. The purchase of the vessel, to be named the Seabulk Ipanema, is expected to close in July 2003.

STX Europe Contracts with Siem Offshore

STX Europe has been awarded contracts with Siem Offshore for design and building of two Platform Supply Vessels. The vessels are designed by STX Europe in Ålesund and will be built at STX Europe in Brazil. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in Q2 2012 and Q2 2013. The total value of the contracts amounts to approximately $155.7m. The contracts are signed with Siem Consub SA in Brazil, a subsidiary of Siem Offshore. World Wide Supply orders four Platform Supply Vessels of Damen Shipyards’ new PSV 3300 series. Newly founded offshore support company World Wide Supply (WWS) has ordered four PSV 3300 CD’s with Damen Shipyards. The PSV 3300 CD, built according to Damen’s E3 principles, is a newly designed platform supply vessel for servicing oil and gas rigs worldwide and is specifically designed to perform safely and economically in adverse weather conditions. All four vessels will be built at Damen Shipyards Galati, Romania. First delivery scheduled for early 2013, last delivery end of 2013.

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Simon Møkster Shipping AS said it has been awarded a contract with Lundin Norway AS for the platform supply vessel (PSV) Stril Mar.   The 2016-built Stril Mar will be under firm contract until the summer of 2018, plus additional options.

Brazilian PSVs Get Rolls-Royce Offshore Cranes

Rolls-Royce signed a contract with Detroit Chile SA to supply offshore cranes to nine Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) presently under construction at Detroit Brasil Ltda. shipyard, in Itajaì, Brazil. The delivery will include nine ship sets of the dual draglink crane, making eighteen cranes in total. Upon completion, the vessels, designed by Guido Perla, will enter service on an eight-year contract with state-owned Brazilian oil company Petrobras. Brazilian Starnav Serviços Marìtimos Ltda, a subsidiary of Detroit Chile, will operate the vessels.
