Sulmara Set to Refit Ocean Marlin Vessel Under New Multi-Year Charter Deal

Glasgow-headquartered subsea specialist Sulmara has signed a three-year deal with Atlantic Offshore to charter the DP II multi-purpose support vessel Ocean Marlin, that will undergo substantial refitting to accommodate the needs of renewable energy sector.As part of the contract, Sulmara, who earlier in February announced the signing of a Master Service Agreement with Asso.subsea, will undertake a substantial refit of the emergency response rescue vessel (ERRV) to transform it for use in the renewables sector.The refit will include the installation of class-leading survey equipment…

Atlantic Offshore Get Extension for 3 ERRVs

Norway-based Atlantic Offshore, a provider of safety and support at sea, announced that it has received contract extensions for three of its emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs).The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) UK has declared a 9 month option for Ocean Osprey, commencing end of June, said the provider of emergency response, rescue & recovery, multi-role and platform supply vessel operations, within the UK and Norwegian energy sectors.Ocean Osprey  is a offshore supply vessel built in 2014 which currently sailing under the flag of United Kingdom (UK).Meanwhile, Total UK has declared one year option for Ocean Troll, commencing mid-July, said the company.

Zamakona Delivers New Ship to Atlantic Offshore

Norwegian shipping company Atlantic Offshore A.S. took delivery of new offshore multipurpose vessel Ocean Falcon from Zamakona Yards at the builder’s facilities in Pasajes, San Sebastián. Ocean Falcon is the third and final vessels in a series built by Zamakona for Atlantic Offshore A.S., all similarly with Havyard HY820 design, but with a few technical variations between them. Its sisters, Ocean Osprey and Ocean Marlin, were the first and second of the contract, respectively.

Delivery & Naming of Atlantic Offshore´s ERRV – Ocean Marlin

On August, 13th the delivery and naming ceremony of our last construction, the ERRV C722- Ocean Marlin - for Atlantic Offshore was performed. The event was held in the Norwegian town of Stavanger, where Mrs. Apeland H. Anni acted as godmother. On this day, the ship was opened to guests and employees of Total E&P. The Ocean Marlin was built in our Zamakona Yards shipyard in San Sebastián and among its main features we find 66.8 m length by 16 m beam, 68.3 tons bollard pull and a cruising speed of 14 knots. The vessel offers accommodation for 21 people. The Ocean Marlin is the second of 3 vessels signed by our group with the Atlantic Offshore Company and starts a contract of 4 + 4 years with Total E&P in the Martin Linge field.

Atlantic Offshore takes Delivery of Newbuilding 722

Ocean Marlin is the second vessel of three signed with Atlantic Offshore with HY820 design. She is now sailing to Stavanger and her naming ceremony will be next Wednesday, 13th August.

Ocean Osprey is Ready to Serve in Norway

Zamakona Yards announced that the newly built vessel Ocean Osprey arrived to Scotland last week to soon begin operating in the Martin Linge offshore oilfields to support the works of Norwegian company Total E & P. Ocean Osprey was launched January 31 at Zamakona’s facility in Pasajes (San Sebastián) and is the first ship ordered by the Norwegian shipping company Atlantic Offshore AS built by Zamakona Yards. Atlantic Offshore’s second vessel, Ocean Marlin, a Havyard HY820 design, is expected to be ready by the end of June 2014. zamakonayards.com/eng/index.php
