Horizon Maritime Signs On to Support Titanic Dive

Canadian offshore services company Horizon Maritime has signed on to support a dive mission to explore the wreck of the Titanic.OceanGate Expeditions, the crewed submersible exploration company leading the mission, selected the multipurpose offshore support vessel (OSV) Horizon Arctic to serve as the surface support vessel for the expedition scheduled to take place later this year.The RMS Titanic shipwreck lies approximately 2,500 feet below the ocean's surface, about 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

OceanGate & Global Diving Sign Strategic Agreement

OceanGate Inc., supplier of manned submersibles says it has made a strategic agreement with Global Diving & Salvage Inc., provider of marine construction & offshore support services in the United States, and an internationally recognized marine casualty responder. Under the agreement, both companies will pursue new sales opportunities by endorsing and utilizing each other's services and products. Global Diving & Salvage will be OceanGate's exclusive manned diving and salvage partner, and OceanGate will be the sole supplier to Global Diving & Salvage of manned submersible solutions. The agreement covers the East and West coasts of the United States, Alaska and Hawaii, and the Gulf of Mexico.

OceanGate Inc. announced the completion of the initial carbon fiber hull design and feasibility study for its next generation manned submersible – Cyclops. Under a contract issued to Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T), OceanGate, the Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington (APL-UW) and Boeing have validated the basic hull design for a submersible vehicle able to reach depths of 3,000 meters. Manned Submersible to Hunt Invasive Florida Lionfish

OceanGate Inc. to host a 3-day event to promote awareness and gauge impact of Lionfish on ocean habitat and economy. The global provider of deep-sea manned submersible solutions, OceanGate, is helping to raise awareness of the widespread invasion of lionfish, a non-native predator known for its venomous spines and increased numbers in the waters of Florida, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. From June 27 to 29, 2013, the five-person manned submersible Antipodes will take scientists on a series of dives off the Florida coast to study the growing lionfish population.

F6F Hellcat WWII-Era Aircraft Discovered off Coast of Florida

OceanGate Inc. discovers Grumman F6F Hellcat off the coast of Miami using manned submersible, 2D and 3D sonar technologies. OceanGate discovered a World War II-era Grumman F6F Hellcat plane off the coast of Miami Beach. The plane was found during one of an ongoing series of dives in which OceanGate has been using its Teledyne BlueView high-frequency sonar and high-definition photo and video equipment to gather data pertaining to the artificial reefs in Miami-Dade County waters.

OceanGate Inc., provider of deep-sea manned submersible solutions, buys 3-person, diesel-electric submersible 'Lula'f rom Portugal's Rebikoff-Niggeler Foundation. The submarine, which can operate at a depth of 500 meters (1,640 feet), was purchased to meet the increased demand for manned submersibles in commercial applications focused on biological and environmental surveys, monitoring, and inspection. WWII Era F6F Hellcat Discovered off Coast of Florida

OceanGate Inc. OceanGate announced it has discovered a World War II-era Grumman F6F Hellcat plane off the coast of Miami Beach. The plane was found during one of an ongoing series of dives in which OceanGate has been using its Teledyne BlueView high-frequency sonar and high-definition photo and video equipment to gather data pertaining to the artificial reefs in Miami-Dade County waters. Recognizing the potential historical and military significance of the find, OceanGate contacted officials at both the Smithsonian Institution and the U.S.
