MISC Berhad Names FSO Benchamas 2
MISC Berhad held the naming and delivery ceremony of its new Floating, Storage & Offloading (FSO) facility for Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Limited (COTL), the FSO Benchamas 2. The project marks MISC’s maiden foray into Thailand’s offshore oil and gas sector as well as its first partnership with COTL in the offshore space. The contract for the lease and operations FSO was secured through an international competitive bidding process and was signed between MISC Offshore Floating Terminals (L) Limited (MOFT) and COTL in August 2016.

Global Industries, Ltd. (NASDAQ:GLBL) announced today that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with Fluor Offshore Solutions, a division of Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR), to pursue offshore projects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The exclusive agreement, which will build on the combined 60 years of offshore experience of both companies, will jointly market and perform offshore construction projects for the oil and gas industry within the MENA region. The agreement will leverage the depth of Engineering, Project Management, Procurement and Installation processes to focus on both EPIC and traditional Transportation and Installation solutions. Global will be utilizing its extensive vessel fleet and significant offshore experience.
Scana Wins GofM Lift Frame Equipment Contract
Scana Industrier ASA subsidiary Scana Offshore Services signs a new contract for Motion Compensating Coiled Tubing Lift Frames. Sweden's Scana Industrier ASA has, through its subsidiary Scana Offshore Services in Houston, Texas, entered into an agreement with a non-disclosed customer for delivery of Motion Compensating Coiled Tubing Lift Frame assemblies for use in the Gulf of Mexico. The contract value is approx. US$8-million and deliveries will take place in the 1st half of 2014. The project will be lead by Scana Offshore Services with engineering support from Stingray Offshore Solutions LLC, a Houston based design and engineering company where Scana holds a 25% ownership.
Offshore Solutions Celebrates Safety Record
Offshore Solutions B.V., the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland N.V. based in IJmuiden, The Netherlands, is celebrating 100,000 man-hours without any lost time incidents. With the first Offshore Access Systems (OAS) entering operation in 2006 this latest milestone has been achieved in less than three years. Seven Offshore Access Systems have been sold or leased since 2006, four of which are being used in the Central and Southern North Sea. Together the systems have made in excess of 20,000 operational connections, carrying out more than 25,000 individual crossings.
New Freestanding Offshore Access System
Offshore Solutions B.V. (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland N.V., has launched a free standing Offshore Access System (OAS) designed to significantly reduce installation time. OSBV has worked with Lowestoft-based, AKD Engineering to convert an existing OAS into a free standing skid mounted unit. The new design will allow quayside installation to be completed in a day and eliminate the need for structural modifications to the vessel to accommodate the pedestal both above and below the deck. Offshore Solutions Celebrates 2500 Safe Connections
Offshore Solutions B.V. (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland N.V., has announced another significant achievement in the operation of the Offshore Access System (OAS*). Installed on the GDF SUEZ E&P Nederland B.V. (GSEPN) chartered vessel, REM Mermaid, the OAS has successfully achieved 2,500 operational connections. This is the third operational OAS in the Southern North Sea and during its operational life so far has also facilitated the safe transfer of 22,000 personnel, whilst reaching two-and-a-half years without any lost time incidents (LTIs).

Qatar Shell Order Offshore Solution's OAS
Offshore Solutions expand its Offshore Access System (OAS) operations in Qatar with another contract. Offshore Solutions BV (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland NV, continues to build on recent successes in The Gulf, after being awarded a Variation Order (VO) to its existing contract with Qatar Shell GTL Limited (Shell Qatar) for a second Offshore Access System (OAS), bringing its operational units with oil and gas majors in the region to three. The latest addition is to support Shell Qatar’s Wells Reservoir Management Campaign and will see an OAS unit deployed on the Halul 50 multi purpose offshore vessel for a period of seven months with a possible option to extend.
Høyesen to Head MacGregor's Offshore Solution Division
MacGregor, part of Cargotec, creates a new division 'Advanced Offshore Solutions' by merging its two Norway-based divisions and combining the strengths in offshore mooring, loading and load handling businesses. With the new joint division MacGregor aims to gain synergies and improve the operations as well as customer service. Høye G. MCP and Gulf Offshore Claim Mobile First in North Sea
Maritime Communication Partner (MCP) has signed a three-year contract with leading offshore shipping operator Gulf Offshore Norway, owned by GulfMark Offshore Inc. The deal provides three vessels, all of which operate on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, with solutions enabling seamless mobile phone coverage and internet access. MCP is the first firm to offer this custom-made offshore solution to vessels operating in the North Sea. MCP, an established leader in the mobile communications market for cruise and ferry operators, is now bringing its expertise and proven global network capabilities to the offshore segment. Unique System Wins Two-year NPCC Contract
Unique System FZE, a Unique Maritime Group company, an integrated turnkey subsea and offshore solutions provider, has been awarded a two-year service contract by The National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC). Established in April 1973, the NPCC is a construction company which provides clients total engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services in the development of offshore and onshore oil and gas fields for the Arabian Gulf and the regional markets. Fluor Wins Offshore Philippines EPC Contract
Fluor Offshore Solutions gains engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) support contract for Malampaya deep-water gas-to-power project. The project is being undertaken on behalf of the Philippine Government by the Service Contract 38 consortium composed of Shell Philippines Exploration B.V. (Operator), Chevron Malampaya LLC and Philippine National Oil Company—Exploration Corporation. This landmark project is among the most significant in the Philippines. Approximately 40 percent of the power for the main island of Luzon is generated by power plants using Malampaya gas. Malampaya Phase 3 involves the design, fabrication and installation of a new depletion compression platform that is linked by a bridge to the existing shallow water platform.
Unique Hydra Signs Agency Agreement with EIVA

EMAS AMC Secures $75 million SURF EPCI Statoil Contract
EMAS AMC, the subsea services division of EMAS, a global offshore contractor and provider of integrated offshore solutions to the oil and gas industry and the operating brand of Ezra Holdings Limited, announced today that it has been awarded a subsea engineering, procurement and offshore construction contract from Statoil for the Smørbukk South Extension’s project. The contract is valued at approximately $75 million. Discovered in 1985, the Smørbukk South Extension holds estimated recoverable reserves of 16.5 million barrels of oil equivalent, and will be developed with a new subsea template connected to existing infrastructure in the area.

MacGregor to Split Smart Ocean Technology Division
MacGregor, part of Cargotec, said it will reorganize its offshore and merchant shipping operations as part of a plan aiming to achieve €13 million in annual cost savings. Under the plan, MacGregor’s Smart Ocean Technology division will be divided into two new divisions: Cargo Handling and Advanced Offshore Solutions. The statutory cooperation negotiations have now been finalized, resulting in restructuring of operations and reducing approximately 170 full-time equivalents globally. The measures affect MacGregor operations in Norway, Germany, China and Singapore.
EMAS AMC Partners with Cecon for Pipelay Work
Lewek Centurion (formerly Caesar) to install pipelines in support of existing Cecon projects. EMAS AMC, the subsea services division of EMAS, a global offshore contractor and provider of integrated offshore solutions to the oil and gas (O&G) industry and the operating brand of Ezra Holdings Limited, announced that its pipelay vessel, the Lewek Centurion has been contracted by Cecon in the North Sea for some 60 kilometers of pipeline installation work, in support of Cecon’s 2013 project commitments currently in-hand. Both parties have expressed a shared commitment to explore further opportunities for cooperation in the future. The Lewek Centurion is a 146 meters long DP-2 deepwater S-lay vessel with a 405Te pipelay tension capacity and a 300Te crane.
Offshore Solutions Completes Contract in North Seas
